WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR? 

Globant Tax is seeking a highly experienced Enterprise / Solution Architect to lead modernization and integration initiatives across its tax technology landscape. The ideal candidate will bring deep expertise in AWS cloud architecture, microservices, API management, and large-scale legacy transformation, with a strong background in financial services, tax, or regulated industries. This is a remote role, but candidates must be located in the Central Time Zone to align with core collaboration hours and stakeholder meetings. 

YOU’LL GET THE CHANCE TO:

• Define and drive enterprise architecture strategy and roadmap for Tax technology platforms.
• Lead design and delivery of cloud-native, microservices-based solutions primarily on AWS (with potential multi-cloud exposure to Azure/GCP).
• Architect and govern API ecosystems, including performance, security, and integration with internal/external services.
• Modernize legacy systems (mainframe, monoliths) to scalable, cloud-first architectures with minimal business disruption.
• Partner with business, product, and engineering leaders to translate tax and regulatory requirements into technical solutions.
• Establish architecture standards, patterns, and best practices across development teams.
• Mentor senior engineers and architects on AWS cloud adoption, integration frameworks, and modern development practices.
• Oversee non-functional requirements: scalability, resilience, security, observability, and cost optimization.

WHAT WILL HELP YOU SUCCEED:

• 15+ years of overall IT experience, with 5+ years in Enterprise or Solution Architecture roles.
• Must hold an active AWS Certified Solutions Architect certification (Associate or Professional; Professional strongly preferred).
• Proven experience designing and delivering large-scale cloud transformations on AWS.
• Deep expertise in:
  • Microservices, event-driven architectures
  • API management (AWS API Gateway)
  • Integration patterns (Kafka, AWS SQS, RabbitMQ)
  • Serverless: Lambda and Step Functions
  • Modern backend stacks: .NET (8+), Python
  • Data Engineering: AWS Glue, Redshift, S3
  • Front-end frameworks: React, Angular (preferred)
  • Databases: PostgreSQL, Aurora, DynamoDB, MongoDB, Vector DBs
  • DevOps & Cloud Ops: Docker, Kubernetes, CI/CD, Git, Terraform, CloudFormation
• Strong background in financial services, tax, retirement, 401(k), wealth management, or insurance domains.
• Experience leading global, cross-functional teams and working with senior stakeholders.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to translate complex technical concepts for business audiences.
• AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Professional (or working toward it).
• Additional certifications such as:
  • Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert
  • SAFe Agilist or similar agile leadership certification
• Experience with GenAI / LLM integrations (e.g., OpenAI, Anthropic, Hugging Face, LangChain, AWS Bedrock) in enterprise contexts.
• Prior consulting experience, ideally within a similar professional services environment.

Location: Remote (U.S.) – Must work from Central Time Zone
Salary: 150k - 180k
