Position Overview:

The People Operations Partner executes the strategy and operations of People and Culture. This position supports OCHIN leaders and aligns organizational strategies, goals and priorities with OCHIN’s mission and values. The post holder will encourage the use of innovative resources, tools and practices to reinforce and positively change the beliefs, attitudes, operating models and structure of organizations so that OCHINites can better adapt to new technologies, markets, and challenges while fulfilling their vision and mission.?


Essential Functions:

  • Collaborates as a hands-on strategic People and Culture Partner who develops a thorough understanding of the business and ensures alignment of strategies and programs to the broader organizational goals, ensuring effective inclusion of key people and culture considerations. 
  • Provide expert and informed analysis and strategic advice to ongoing operations and expected decisions. 
  • Serve as counselor and or advocate to employees and leaders regarding company policies, employee performance, culture/work environment and other issues; resolve conflicts effectively while minimizing legal exposure. 
  • Support project-based work on business-critical strategic imperatives from a People and Culture perspective. 
  • ?Proactively monitor the work environment to identify and address trends and areas of improvement to increase employee engagement and retention.? Address critical action items. 
  • Ensures regulatory compliance with legal requirements pertinent to the day-to-day management of employees; collaborate with legal counsel when necessary. Maintain a current knowledge of legislation and regulation that relate to People and Culture issues and participate in developing appropriate policies and procedures. 
  • Other duties as assigned.


Requirements
  • Bachelor’s or equivalent relevant combination of education and experience in Human Resources, Business, or related field preferred. 
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience working in multiple People and Culture disciplines, including compensation practices, organizational design, employee relations, performance management, and federal and state respective laws preferred. 
  • HRIS experience preferred. 
  • Professional People and Culture Certification (SHRM/HRCI) preferred. 
  • Ability to build effective relationships at all levels of the organization. 
  • Ability to collect and analyze data, draw reliable conclusions, and recommend operational improvements. 
  • Experience implementing HR initiatives and delivering results in a changing, growing business environment. 
  • Ability to self-manage and work independently, as well as in a team environment. 
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills that support collaboration and build trust. 
  • Experience working in a growing, multistate organization, with the flexibility to occasionally support business needs outside standard hours across time zones. 
  • Strong coaching and influencing skills, with the ability to guide leaders through complex situations.  
  • Prior to moving forward to the team interview, all candidates are required to complete a 50–60-minute competency assessment. The assessment gives us insights into how your strengths, preferences, and work style align with the OCHIN's nine core competencies. It’s not about passing or failing—it’s about understanding fit and setting you up for success.


  • Constant interpersonal skills, teamwork, and customer service. Frequent creativity, mentoring, presentations, and teaching. Occasional decision making and independent judgment or action.  
  • Reading, speaking, writing, and understanding English.  
  • While performing the duties of the job, the employee is regularly required to sit for long periods of time; stand and walk; use hands to finger, handle or feel; reach with hands and arms.  
  • This position requires a virtual home-office environment, working remotely and will require that employees be on camera for all virtual meetings. 
  • The role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers and mobile devices. 
  • Travel is required to support OCHIN’s business requirements for Go-Live installations or training which may require travel by air, vehicle, or train. 

Work Location and Travel Requirements

OCHIN is a 100% remote organization with no physical corporate office location. Employees work remotely from home and many of our positions also support our member organizations on-site for new software installations. Nationwide travel is determined based on OCHIN business needs. Please inquire during the interview process about travel requirements for this position. 

Work from home requirements are: 

  • Ability to work independently and efficiently from a home office environment 
  • High Speed Internet Service 
  • It is a requirement that employees work in a distraction free workplace 
  • Travel may be required nationally based on business requirements for OCHIN

Base Pay Overview 

OCHIN uses broadened pay ranges to support equitable and market-aligned compensation practices. Pay information by position level is listed below. The final offer will be based on a variety of factors, including relevant skills, certifications, education, experience, training, responsibilities, internal equity, and market data.

Salary range is $85,697 - $137,116
