  • Establish clear, documented deployment processes for new app versions, phased rollouts, and rollback procedures across managed device fleets.

Job Title: Intune Engineer
Location: Remote - PST
Duration: 4+ months
Pay Range : $160-$170/hr on W2
 
This role is focused on supporting and scaling Microsoft's Intune Mobile Device Management (MDM) capabilities for large enterprise customers, particularly in complex iOS environments.
Responsibilities:
  • Implement, configure, and scale Microsoft Intune for enterprise organizations.
  • Audit existing Intune configuration: app deployment profiles, app protection and configuration policies, VPP/ABM integration, APNs certificates, and update rollout settings.
  • Identify gaps and risks and implement improvements to make deployments reliable and repeatable at scale.
  • Establish clear, documented deployment processes for new app versions, phased rollouts, and rollback procedures across managed device fleets.
  • Advise customers on Intune architecture, deployment strategies, and operational best practices.
  • Build pre-release validation for Intune-deployed builds, including MAM/MDM policy behavior, conditional access, and enrollment scenarios across device and OS configurations.
  • Stand up monitoring and reporting to provide visibility into deployment success rates, install failures, policy compliance, and version adoption.
  • Create dashboards, alerts, and runbooks to support operations and scaling.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams (Customer Support, Product, Engineering, Customer Success) and act as a subject matter expert bridging customers and engineering teams.
  • Communicate complex technical concepts to technical and non-technical audiences.
Required / Must-have Qualifications:
  • Deep, hands-on experience administering and scaling Microsoft Intune for enterprise, with strong emphasis on iOS device management.
  • Strong understanding of mobile device management (MDM), device enrollment, authentication, device certification/compliance, and security best practices.
  • Experience with Apple ecosystem tools and integrations: Apple Business Manager (ABM), Volume Purchase Program (VPP), APNs certificates, and app distribution.
  • Proven experience designing and documenting deployment processes, phased rollouts, and rollback procedures.
  • Experience building monitoring/reporting, dashboards, alerts, and operational runbooks for MDM deployments.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Consultative experience advising enterprise customers and partnering with engineering teams.
