Comcast Advertising is driving the TV advertising industry forward, from delivering ads to linear and digital audiences to pioneering the tech that makes it possible. We help brands connect with their audiences on every screen using advanced data, technology, and premium video content. Our media sales division helps local, regional, and national brands reach potential customers through multiscreen TV advertising. Our ad tech division FreeWheel provides comprehensive adtech that makes it easier to buy and sell premium video advertising across all screens, data types, and sales channels.

Job Summary

Responsible for ensuring close relationships with agency and brand marketer clients at the highest levels. Prospects, sells, develops and expands the client base for Advanced Media. Drives new and incremental revenue and regularly meets pre-established activity and results quotas. Monitors and evaluates competitive media spending for sales categories. Understands the premium online video industry and the challenges facing a typical marketer or agency. Acts as a key contributor in a complex and crucial environment. May lead projects and shares expertise.

Responsible for driving new programmatic advertising revenue across the West Coast by building strategic relationships with agencies, brands, and demand partners, while serving as a trusted advisor who delivers innovative, results-driven media solutions. This role requires a highly motivated sales professional with deep programmatic expertise, strong industry relationships, and a proven ability to develop new business, build executive-level partnerships, and exceed revenue goals through cross-functional collaboration.

Job Description

Core Responsibilities

  • Responsible for hitting revenue targets for book-of-business by prospecting, selling and driving revenue growth.
  • Maintains up-to-date customer and prospect records as instructed and participates in development of sales forecasts.
  • Understands client’s business model, objectives, key performance indicators (KPIs), key partnerships, and organization structure in order to provide the best value on behalf of the company.
  • Provides insight into customer challenges, needs, and opportunities to cross-functional stakeholders including product, marketing, engineering, customer success, and sales leadership. 
  • Serves as an escalation point for key customer issues around pricing and commercial agreements.
  • Provides and executes on feedback regarding new product additions and existing product definition.
  • Completes required documentation and reporting for the proper processing of contracts, advertising schedules and call expense reports.
  • Familiarity with online media buying and selling processes (upfronts & scatter), along with knowledge of demand-side platforms (DSPs), supply-side platforms (SSPs), and Ad Serving technologies.
  • Responds to requests for proposal (RFPs) and prepare customized proposals to win new business.
  • Proactively utilizes prospecting tools to drive new agency and advertiser revenue.
  • Develops relationships with executive stakeholders at key accounts within book of business.
  • Sales travel is involved when needed.
  • Consistent exercise of independent judgment and discretion in matters of significance.
  • Regular, consistent and punctual attendance. Must be able to work nights and weekends, variable schedule(s) as necessary.
  • Develop and execute a West Coast programmatic sales strategy that drives new revenue growth, builds executive-level relationships with agencies, brands, and demand partners, and delivers customized media solutions aligned to client business objectives.
  • Partner cross-functionally with Sales, Account Management, Yield, Planning, Operations, Analytics, Product, Marketing, and Leadership teams to create and execute strategic client proposals, presentations, and revenue-driving initiatives.

Compensation

Primary Location Pay Range: This job can be performed in California with a good faith estimated pay range upon hire of $135,612.59 - $180,816.78 USD.

Targeted Commission: $115,000.00

Our sales compensation programs offer the potential for significant upside above targeted earnings for those who overachieve their sales targets.

Comcast intends to offer the selected candidate base pay within the posted range for this role at the time of posting dependent on job-related, non-discriminatory factors such as experience.
