Job title : Manager, Associate Research (Part-time Secondment Opportunity)
Location : Home-based, EU (open to AniCura Associates working in an AniCura hospital anywhere in the EU). No relocation required.
Contract : 2 days per week (part-time), initially a 6-month fixed-term assignment with the possibility to extend both the duration and number of days per week in 2027. The role may involve occasional travel, although this is expected to be limited

The team
You will join the MVH Global Medical Affairs Science Team, working closely with the Director, Associate Research (Luisa De Risio), the Vice President of Science & Healthcare Innovation (Dottie Cimino Brown) and colleagues across Mars Veterinary Health.
This is a new role created to support AniCura Associates across Europe, optimize residents research credential success rate and strengthen clinical research capabilities within our referral hospitals and wider veterinary network.
The team works globally to advance medical knowledge, develop clinician scientists and optimise research opportunities across MVH. You will support the clinical research activities of residents, and other associates in AniCura/MVHE hospitals.
This role is designed for an AniCura Associate who wants to combine their clinical expertise with their passion for enabling and supporting clinical research, while remaining connected to their current clinical role through a secondment arrangement.
What we’re looking for
· Veterinary degree (DVM or equivalent) with significant experience in veterinary clinical practice. (mandatory)
· European or American veterinary specialist diploma, PhD or Master's degree in a relevant field is preferred. (preferred)
· Strong background in clinical research, including study design, scientific literature appraisal, research delivery, publication and dissemination.
· Experience supporting, mentoring or supervising residents and/or clinicians with research projects.
· Strong written and spoken English skills, with confidence communicating scientific concepts within an international team.
· Experience publishing in peer-reviewed scientific journals and presenting research at conferences is highly desirable.
· Ability to collaborate effectively across teams, influence without authority and manage multiple priorities.
· A proactive, adaptable and supportive approach, with a genuine interest in helping others achieve their research goals
· Flexibility to attend meetings with MVH Global Medical Affairs Science Team members in different time zones
