Job description

Objective

Support client’s Talent Acquisition Marketing team by creating engaging, SEO-informed recruitment content that increases awareness of client expert opportunities, with a strong emphasis on local hiring campaigns. The writer will partner closely with the internal recruitment marketing team to produce evergreen content that attracts tax professionals and drives interest in local career opportunities.

Profile Overview

We are seeking an experienced content writer with expertise in recruitment marketing, SEO content, and employer branding. This writer will create blog articles, landing page copy, and recruitment-focused content that supports hiring initiatives for tax experts, with a strategic focus on local markets.

The ideal candidate understands how to translate recruitment goals into compelling, search-optimized content while maintaining a consistent brand voice. They should be comfortable collaborating directly with stakeholders, working from creative briefs, incorporating feedback from communications and subject matter experts, and writing content that balances SEO best practices with an authentic candidate experience.

The current content strategy prioritizes expanding awareness of local roles over virtual opportunities and educating candidates on the value of working in client's physical locations.

Commitment

  • Contract: Annual Agreement
  • Commitment: 44 hours per month (approximately 10 hours per week)
  • Flexible monthly allocation based on editorial priorities and content calendar.
  • Dedicated writer working directly with the internal marketing team.

Scope of Work

The writer will be responsible for developing recruitment marketing content that supports ongoing hiring initiatives, including:

  • Write SEO-informed blog articles supporting client hiring initiatives.
  • Develop content promoting local tax expert opportunities.
  • Create evergreen recruitment content that supports long-term organic traffic.
  • Produce awareness-focused content comparing local versus remote work experiences.
  • Write "day in the life" features highlighting office-based roles.
  • Support content for local landing pages as the program expands.
  • Adapt content for multiple target markets while maintaining brand consistency.
  • Collaborate directly with internal stakeholders to refine messaging.
  • Incorporate feedback from communications partners and tax subject matter experts.
  • Optimize content using SEO recommendations provided by the client's existing SEO agency when applicable.
  • Maintain a consistent editorial voice aligned with employer branding objectives.
  • Assist with content ideation and recommend new recruitment-focused topics.

Expected Deliverables

With a 44-hour monthly retainer, expected output may include:

  • 6–8 long-form recruitment blog articles (depending on complexity)
  • Local hiring campaign content
  • Landing page updates
  • Recruitment messaging refreshes
  • Editorial revisions
  • Content strategy discussions
  • Stakeholder collaboration and planning

Deliverables will vary based on article complexity, interview needs, and revision cycles.

Skills & Qualifications

Required

  • 4+ years of professional content writing experience
  • Strong recruitment marketing or employer branding writing experience
  • Experience writing SEO-friendly content
  • Ability to simplify complex topics for job seekers
  • Excellent interviewing and collaboration skills
  • Comfortable working from creative briefs
  • Experience incorporating stakeholder feedback and multiple revision rounds
  • Exceptional editing and proofreading skills
  • Strong organizational and project management abilities

Preferred

  • Experience writing for HR, recruiting, staffing, or talent acquisition
  • Experience creating location-based or local SEO content
  • Familiarity with employer branding campaigns
  • Knowledge of the tax, finance, or professional services industries
  • Experience collaborating with SEO agencies
  • Familiarity with AI-assisted writing workflows while maintaining human editorial quality

Ideal Writer Profile

The ideal writer is proactive, collaborative, and comfortable becoming an extension of the internal marketing team. They enjoy transforming recruitment objectives into informative, engaging content that helps candidates understand career opportunities.

They should be equally comfortable writing evergreen educational articles, recruitment marketing campaigns, and location-focused content that encourages candidates to explore opportunities in key local markets.

About Client

Client is a global financial technology company committed to powering prosperity for consumers and small businesses. This engagement supports the Talent Acquisition Marketing team responsible for recruiting client tax professionals across the United States.

Current recruitment initiatives are centered on expanding awareness of local, in-person opportunities in priority markets including Chicago, New York, Los Angeles, Dallas, Phoenix, and Seattle, while continuing to build long-term organic visibility through evergreen content.
