Systems Engineer Responsibilities
100% Remote when not traveling 65% in the US and to Canada and the UK.

Installing, configuring, maintaining operating systems, application software, and system management tools
Travel to various offices to conduct Site surveys and document hardware systems, software, and infrastructure. Ensuring the highest levels of systems and infrastructure availability and security
Work with DevOps and NetOps teams to deploy solutions for corporate users.
Migrate Server data and client permissions onto the Corporate cloud.
Monitor and test application performance for potential bottlenecks, identify possible solutions, and implement those fixes
Maintain security, backup, and business continuity strategies
Provide escalation support for the technology team
Manage Email Domain Hosting and migrating domains over to a different registrar
Change Email Domain mx records to change mail flow
Recreate Email Profiles and be able to assist with troubleshooting mail flow issues
Provide end user training for Email and Cloud Systems.
Must be able to troubleshoot local Outlook issues (ex. The use of command line switches)
Must be able to run PowerShell commands and be able to extract data from legacy Exchange systems

Knowledge, Qualifications, Skills, and/or Ability:

10+ years' experience in installing, configuring, and troubleshooting Microsoft Windows operating system, Windows Server, Active Directory, and GPOs
Ability to work with minimal direction
Ability to work with a Distributed team
Exceptional interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively and concisely at multiple levels between business and IT staff
Experience with working with Vendors to update Email preferences.
Experience with virtualization (VMWare)
Understanding of monitoring systems (PRTG, Nagios)
Experience with Backup and Replication systems (Backup Exec, Double-Take, RecoverPoint, Veeam)
Need to be comfortable running PowerShell commands to extract data out of Exchange
Microsoft Exchange or M365 Migration and troubleshooting experience.
Outstanding time management and problem-solving skills
End user Training and documentation experience
Strong Microsoft Outlook skills
Experience with M365 Migration tools like AvePoint, Bit Titan, etc..
Experience with Proofpoint a plus
Knowledge of migrating and validating SharePoint, One drive, and teams from one tenant to another.
