Job Role: Recruiter — Engineering, Security & AI

Compensation range: 1,300 - 1,750 USD Monthly + Performance Bonus

Engagement type: Independent Contractor Agreement

Work Schedule: This role is expected to align primarily with US Central Time business hours for collaboration, with flexibility around agreed overlap windows and deliverables.

Who We Are: At Hunt St we help Australian companies directly hire top 5% remote talent in the Philippines. You will be hired directly by the client, typically as an independent contractor. We are not an outsourcing agency. All of our roles are 100% remote so you'll be able to work from home.

Who The Client Is: A specialist recruitment and talent advisory firm focused on Engineering, Security, and AI talent. The company partners with high-growth startups and enterprise businesses to connect them with top-tier technical professionals through embedded recruiting, retained search, and contingent recruitment models.


Role Overview: We are looking for an experienced and proactive Recruiter to support hiring across Engineering, Cybersecurity, and AI roles.

In this role, you will work directly with the founder and take ownership of end-to-end recruitment processes—from sourcing and outreach to candidate management and interview coordination. This is a fast-paced, relationship-driven environment where strong sourcing skills, technical recruitment experience, and excellent communication are highly valued.

You will play a key role in identifying exceptional talent, managing pipelines efficiently, and delivering a high-quality experience for both candidates and clients.

Key Responsibilities:

Recruitment & Talent Sourcing

  • Manage end-to-end recruitment across Engineering, Cybersecurity, and AI roles
  • Source candidates through LinkedIn Recruiter, job boards, Boolean search, and direct outreach
  • Build and maintain strong pipelines of active and passive candidates
  • Conduct candidate screening, interviews, and shortlisting processes
  • Write and post compelling and accurate job advertisements

Candidate & Client Coordination

  • Coordinate interviews and maintain smooth communication throughout the hiring process
  • Ensure a positive and professional candidate experience
  • Communicate clearly and effectively with both candidates and clients
  • Build long-term relationships with passive candidates for future opportunities

Recruitment Operations & Market Intelligence

  • Manage recruitment workflows and ATS systems efficiently
  • Support the founder with talent mapping and market research
  • Provide market insights and hiring intelligence when needed
  • Maintain organized recruitment pipelines and candidate records

Requirements

  • 3+ years of recruitment experience, ideally within Engineering, IT, Cybersecurity, or technical hiring
  • Strong sourcing and headhunting skills using LinkedIn Recruiter, Boolean search, and direct outreach
  • Experience placing technical roles with a good understanding of the candidate market
  • Excellent written and verbal English communication skills
  • Highly organized and capable of managing multiple roles independently
  • Familiarity with ATS platforms and recruitment workflows
  • Comfortable working closely with a founder in a fast-moving and lean environment

Nice to Have:

  • Experience working within retained or contingent search firms
  • Exposure to Security, AI, or deep-tech talent markets
  • Experience supporting US-based or international clients
