Believe in better.

This is a remote role.

Role Overview

As Chartis accelerates its evolution into a more tech and AI-forward enterprise, this role sits within the Strategic Intelligence & Technology (SIT) organization—built to enable internal and external transformation through modern technology, data, and analytics capabilities that advance healthcare AI and digital transformation and deliver new insights to our clients.

Specifically, this role sits within SIT’s Analytics & Insights team, helping shape and deliver increasingly sophisticated analytic deliverables and insights to our clients while also contributing to reusable analytics assets that can be deployed and tailored to specific client use cases.

This specific role will be focused on supporting our Revenue Cycle Transformation practice. This role bridges consulting teams, business stakeholders, and technical resources by acquiring, preparing, and analyzing client data, delivering exploratory insights, upskilling our consulting teams in advanced analytical practice, and supporting the design of scalable solutions in partnership with solutions leads and engineering. This role is a foundational member of the analytics delivery team, combining hands-on SQL and business intelligence (BI) skills with business consulting acumen to ensure data-driven insights are rapidly available to projects, and we advance as a practice in bringing best-in-class insights to the market for our clients.

Responsibilities

Client Data Acquisition & Preparation

  • Partner with client teams to extract and acquire structured data based on our inventory of SQL code, along with non-SQL based data needs in the future.

  • Support extract, transfer, load (ETL) process with a high-touch customer service model to acquire and transmit data

  • Write basic SQL scripts for data extraction and mapping.

  • Perform first-level cleaning and QA (deduplication, schema alignment, missing values).

  • Manage data from SFTP through to analytics deployment in internal analytics platform (Echo).

Exploratory Analysis & Insights

  • Conduct exploratory/first-pass analysis to uncover trends and issues.

  • Deliver stop-gap dashboards or ad-hoc reports in Power BI/Tableau to support project needs.

  • Prepare first-pass deliverables for consulting teams on analytics findings.

Solution Support & Enablement

  • Collaborate with Domain Data Engineers to codify business rules into advanced SQL extraction and data build tools (DBT) and with BI Engineers to create impactful data visualization and storytelling.

  • Support Solutions Leads in designing analytic solutions that align with client process improvement goals.

  • Coach consulting and client teams on BI tool functionality and analytic interpretation.

  • Provide feedback on data quality and business logic for continuous improvement.

Qualifications and Desired Skills

  • 5-8 years of relevant analytics experience, with a minimum of 2 years in a professional related healthcare field.

  • Bachelor’s Degree in a quantitative or technology-related field of study (e.g., Business, Mathematics, Economics, Statistics, Analytics, or Informatics).

  • Previous experience executing analytics with programming languages (e.g., SQL, Python, R, Spark, PySpark, Scala) with deployment via notebook tools (e.g., Jupyter, Zeppelin)

  • Proficiency in SQL for querying, data extraction, and basic transformations. As well as prompt engineering with large language models (LLMs) and demonstrated outcomes in advancing thinking through LLM partnership.

  • Familiarity with BI tools (Power BI, Tableau). Exposure to Snowflake or other cloud-based data platforms preferred. Prior experience with Epic is highly desired.

  • Deep understanding of healthcare operations and revenue cycle workflows, with the ability to translate complex data into actionable business requirements and workflow optimization strategies.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, applying quantitative techniques to identify trends, diagnose issues, and developing evidence-based recommendations.

  • Ability to bridge technical configurations and data structures with operational needs to drive measurable business outcomes.

  • Skilled collaborator who partners effectively with client teams to frame data challenges, co-develop solutions, and substantiate recommendations with data-driven insights.

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to convey complex information clearly to stakeholders at all levels.

  • Proven ability to independently manage workstreams or projects, demonstrating initiative, accountability, and exceptional attention to detail.

  • Strong understanding of organizational KPIs and the ability to link analytics and recommendations to strategic performance goals.

  • Curious problem-solver — eager to explore data for hidden issues and opportunities. Comfortable with ambiguity; able to prototype quickly and iterate. Team-oriented — thrives in a collaborative, cross-functional environment.

  • Strong communication skills — able to translate technical analysis into business insights. Comfortable working directly with clients to acquire data and define analytic needs with the ability to balance quick-turn deliverables with longer-term solution development.
