1. Experience with Ruby on Rails, along with other common libraries such as RSpec and Resque
2. Good understanding of the syntax of Ruby and its nuances
3. Solid understanding of object-oriented programming
4. Good understanding of server-side templating languages
5. Good understanding of server-side CSS preprocessors such as Sass, based on project requirements}}
6. Basic understanding of front-end technologies, such as JavaScript, HTML5, and CSS3
7. Familiarity with concepts of MVC, Mocking, ORM, and RESTful
8. Able to create database schemas that represent and support business processes
9. Able to implement automated testing platforms and unit tests
10. Proficient understanding of code versioning tools e.g: Git
Responsibilities
1. Design, build, and maintain efficient, reusable, and reliable Ruby code
2. Integration of data storage solutions
3. Creating back-end components.
4. Integration of user-facing elements developed by front-end developers with server side logic
5. Identify bottlenecks and bugs, and devise solutions to these problems
6. Help maintain code quality, organization and automatization.
