The Role: Google Cloud Platform Architect
We are looking for a Cloud Architect to join our team and lead the management and maintenance of our organization’s cloud architecture. Cloud Architect responsibilities include building and maintaining the cloud systems at our organization, along with managing servers, storage, and our network. You will work with various IT teams to ensure our online capabilities meet the needs of our organization.
Key Responsibilities of this Role:
· Configure and deploy Cloud infrastructure consisting of identity and access management, network & deployment architecture, application security, logging, monitoring, billing and more.
· Comfortability with cloud security domains, such as identity management, logging and monitoring, configuration management, network design, and governance frameworks
· Experience driving escalation, prioritization, and coordination of high severity Security incidents (Zero Day) and designing appropriate communication plans to all levels of the organization.
· Knowledge of Governance/ Compliance/Standards such as NIST, OWASP CSA, GDPR, ISO 27001.
· Create and deliver solutions, best practices recommendations, tutorials, blog articles, sample code, and technical presentations adapting to different levels of key business and technical stakeholders.
· Make recommendations on integration strategies, enterprise architectures, platforms, and application infrastructure required to successfully implement a complete solution providing best practice advice to optimize Cloud effectiveness.
· Setup BCP DR, manage and automate backups
· Responsible for design, development, implementation, operation improvement and debug cloud environments in Google Cloud and Cloud Management Platform and orchestration tools.
· Architect, implement and improve possible automations for cloud environments using native or 3rd party tools like Terraform, Salt, Chef etc
The Ideal Candidate
· 7+ years of relevant work experience in Google Cloud Platform.
· Google Cloud Platform certified cloud architect with 2+ years of experience in Architect
· In depth knowledge of key Google Cloud Platform services – GCE, GKE, GAE, GCS, Cloud SQL, VPC, Resource Manager, Stack Driver, Cloud CDN, Cloud IAM, GSuite, Infrastructure as Code etc.
· Experience in Terraform, Cloud formation, and ARM templates.
· Experience in core Google Cloud Platform Services (e.g., IAM, Service Accounts & Keys, Encryption Keys, Object Storage, Logging, Monitoring, Pub/Sub, Functions).
· In-depth knowledge of design, implementation, engineering, automation and DevOPS implementation, service operation and service improvement initiatives
· Defining deployment standards for development team & reviewing delivered build packages for validating the required standards, Automation Architect
· Understanding cloud security.
· Understand Agile methodologies and software development lifecycle process.
· Understanding of container technology and container orchestration platforms.
· Proven knowledge of evaluating the Google Cloud Platform hosting/consumption charges and optimization of the charges
· Excellent verbal, written and presentation skills
· Having Scripting knowledge is an advantage.
· Take complete ownership of organization cloud needs and issue.
