Position Overview

The Sr. NetSuite Consultant is a high-impact, client-facing role responsible for leading the end-to-end lifecycle of NetSuite implementations. This position bridges the gap between complex business challenges and technical system solutions. As a trusted advisor, the Sr. Consultant conducts deep-dive discovery, architects optimized workflows, and ensures successful system adoption. Beyond project delivery, this role is instrumental in building the foundation of our delivery methodology, helping to define the scalable processes that will drive our future growth.

Core Responsibilities

1. Discovery & Strategic Analysis

  • Lead thorough business process reviews to uncover client pain points, identify operational gaps, and define a clear project scope.

  • Translate business requirements into comprehensive functional design documents that serve as the blueprint for implementation.

  • Evaluate existing client workflows and recommend "leading practice" NetSuite processes to drive maximum efficiency.

2. Solution Design & Configuration

  • Architect and configure NetSuite modules (Financials, Inventory, CRM, etc.) to align with client-specific business requirements.

  • Design custom fields, records, and basic workflows to optimize the user experience without over-complicating the system.

  • Collaborate with the development team when complex technical customizations or integrations are required to meet functional goals.

3. Implementation & Project Leadership

  • Oversee the entire implementation process, serving as the primary point of contact and managing project timelines, budgets, and resources.

  • Lead the deployment of core and industry-specific modules, ensuring a seamless transition from legacy systems.

  • Manage project risks and proactively communicate status updates to both internal leadership and client stakeholders. 

4. Testing, Training & User Adoption

  • Develop and execute rigorous User Acceptance Testing (UAT) plans to ensure system integrity and data accuracy.

  • Create tailored training materials and lead hands-on training sessions to empower client users.

  • Drive high user adoption rates by ensuring the system is intuitive and that users understand the "why" behind new processes.

5. Delivery Process Development

  • Partner with the founding team to develop, document, and refine internal delivery methodologies.

  • Create reusable templates, checklists, and standard operating procedures (SOPs) to ensure consistent, scalable project success for future clients.

  • Contribute to the internal knowledge base to elevate the performance of the entire consulting team.

6. Relationship Management & Post-Go-Live Support

  • Act as a long-term trusted advisor, staying engaged with clients post-deployment to assist with system optimization and new feature releases.

  • Build deep relationships with client leadership to understand their evolving business needs and identify future growth opportunities




Requirements

Must Have:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Ability to work Monday - Friday 9:00am to 5:00pm EST
  • 4-5 years of full end-to-end implementation experience in NetSuite (at least 10+ new implementations).
  • Proven experience in leading and managing NetSuite implementation projects from start to finish.
  • Strong understanding of NetSuite functionalities, including core modules (Financials, Inventory, CRM, etc.) and industry modules.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to identify and develop solutions to complex business challenges.
  • Exceptional communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively interact with clients at all levels.
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to manage timelines, budgets, and resources effectively.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.

Good to Have:

  • NetSuite-specific certifications.
  • A Master's degree in Business Administration or a relevant field is considered an asset.
