As the pioneer in deploying machine learning in healthcare, and with a dedicated team of specially trained clinicians, Curai Health delivers easy-to-use, convenient, and engaging primary care to more people at a fraction of the cost of traditional care.

Our company is remote-first, and we consider candidates across the United States. Our corporate office is located in San Francisco.

About the Role
We're looking for an HR Systems & Operations Specialist who can balance day-to-day people operations with ownership of our HR systems. You'll support employees across the full HR lifecycle — from onboarding to benefits and payroll to compliance — while ensuring our systems, data, and processes are accurate, efficient, and scalable. This is a great role for someone who enjoys being hands-on with people while also digging into the details of systems and workflows.

What You'll Do
HR Operations & Employee Support — 50%
  • Support onboarding and offboarding for employees and contractors
  • Facilitate semi-monthly payroll processing with PEO
  • Support benefits administration, payroll coordination, tax, and compliance activities
  • Partner with People/HR leadership to roll out new policies, programs, and initiatives
  • Identify opportunities to streamline HR processes using technology
  • Manage Employer of Record (EOR) system for international team members
  • Support recruiting team in coordinating and scheduling interviews
  •
    HRIS Management — 50%
  • Serve as the primary administrator and subject-matter expert for BambooHR, Remote, Notion, and Sequoia One
  • Maintain data integrity, ensuring employee records are accurate and up to date
  • Generate reports and dashboards to support decision-making and compliance
  • Implement system enhancements, integrations, and process improvements
  • Audit HR data regularly to identify and resolve discrepancies

  • What We're Looking For
  • 3–5 years of HR, people operations, or closely related experience — backgrounds in employment law, legal operations, or compliance-adjacent roles are welcome
  • Hands-on experience managing and administering HRIS systems
  • Strong understanding of core HR practices, employment laws, and compliance requirements; familiarity with multi-state or contractor classification issues is a plus
  • Experience supporting or transitioning from a PEO to in-house HR preferred
  • Comfort balancing employee-facing support with behind-the-scenes system work
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and data-driven — you know how to manage sensitive information with discretion
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills
  • Startup or high-growth company experience a plus
  • Compensation: $60,000 - $80,000 / year
The pay range listed for this position reflects what Curai Health reasonably and in good faith expects to pay at the time of posting. Actual base salary will depend on a variety of factors, including your qualifications and years of relevant experience.

    Benefits:
    • Comprehensive medical, dental, and vision coverage
    • Flexible spending plans
    • Generous and flexible Paid Time Off (PTO), floating holidays, and parental leave
    • 401k plan with employer matching
    • 100% remote — work from home
