Job description

We're VOID Interactive, the kickass team behind the best-selling FPS game, Ready or Not. We're made up of some seriously talented individuals who love games and creating awesome content together. We're currently looking for a dedicated and enthusiastic Associate Producer to join us remotely and help take us to the next level, contributing to both ongoing and future projects, including an unannounced title.

Role Overview
As a Senior Environment Artist, you will play a key role in bringing our worlds to life by creating highly detailed, top-quality, immersive, and performant levels. You’ll work closely with art direction, design, and technical teams to build believable spaces that support both gameplay and narrative.

This role is ideally suited for a Senior Environment Artist with a strong portfolio and proven ability to confidently deliver high-quality work, with the ability and drive to own features and entire levels.

Key Responsibilities

  • Create high-quality 3D environment assets, including modular architectural kits and set dressing props
  • Take ownership of levels from block out through to final polish, including lighting, composition, and set dressing
  • Ensure all assets meet performance and technical budgets (draw calls, memory, LODs) while maintaining visual fidelity
  • Collaborate closely with Art Directors, Technical Artists, and Level Designers to align on visual, gameplay, and narrative goals
  • Work within established pipelines and contribute to improving workflows and asset creation processes
  • Maintain a high standard of quality, consistency, and attention to detail across environments

Essential Requirements

  • 4–6+ years of experience as an Environment Artist (or equivalent experience demonstrated through portfolio)
  • 2+ of those years being at a senior level
  • Strong portfolio showcasing high-quality environment art, including modular workflows and level composition
  • High proficiency in industry-standard tools (e.g. Unreal Engine, Maya/Max/Blender, Substance Painter/Designer)
  • Experience creating game-ready assets with a strong understanding of current practices (modelling for nanite, texel density, performance budgets)
  • Strong understanding of lighting, composition, and environmental storytelling
  • Ability to take ownership of work from concept/blockout through to final in-engine implementation
  • Experience working collaboratively in a cross-functional game development team
  • Strong attention to detail and a passion for creating immersive realistic urban environments
  • Ability to work autonomously in a remote-first, fast-paced environment

Nice to Have (Bonus Skills)

  • Experience working on shipped titles across a full development cycle
  • Experience working on FPS or tactical shooter environments
  • Familiarity with level design principles and gameplay-driven environment creation
  • Experience collaborating closely with animation or cinematic pipelines
  • Experience working in smaller, independent teams
  • Houdini or geometry scripting experiences
  • Tools creation (modelling/texturing/work flow processes)
