Job Summary:

Aptive is seeking a Senior Analyst to support SAMHSA's 988 Suicide & Crisis Lifeline Awareness initiative. In this role, the Senior Analyst leads the design of project solutions and manages key analytical and data-driven workstreams that underpin the program's communications and public health impact. This includes guiding the development of requirements, analyzing project proposals, and recommending approaches across a program that spans paid media, digital engagement, performance measurement, and data visualization. The Senior Analyst works closely with the Program Manager, SAMHSA's 988 Communications Team, and internal subject matter experts to ensure that analytical findings are translated into actionable insights and strategic recommendations that advance awareness and utilization of 988 across the United States.

Primary Responsibilities:

Key responsibilities include coordinating data validation across internal teams and external stakeholders and support campaign measurement and evaluation activities, including assessing paid media performance, monitoring audience exposure and behavior change indicators, and synthesizing findings into reports and recommendations for SAMHSA. Additional responsibilities include formulating specifications for deliverables, analyzing trends in 988 utilization data, supporting digital analytics and web performance monitoring, and contributing to strategic planning efforts. The ideal candidate brings strong analytical and technical skills, experience with federal health communications or public health data programs, and the ability to manage complex, multi-stakeholder projects with rigor and clarity.

Minimum Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in communications, public health, data analytics, marketing, social sciences, or a related field
  • Minimum of 7 years of relevant experience, including at least 4 years of supervisory or team lead responsibility
  • Demonstrated experience leading the design of project or analytical solutions and serving as a primary point of contact with government or senior-level clients
  • Experience formulating requirements, analyzing project proposals, and recommending optimum approaches to complex, multi-workstream programs
  • Proficiency with data visualization tools, particularly Tableau, including dashboard development, maintenance, and publication
  • Experience collecting, analyzing, and synthesizing quantitative and qualitative data to evaluate program or campaign performance
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret trends in utilization, engagement, or behavioral data and translate findings into clear insights and recommendations
  • Experience producing formal deliverables such as performance reports, evaluation plans, and data dashboards for government or executive stakeholders
  • Ability to manage multiple concurrent workstreams and coordinate across internal teams and external partners
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to present complex analytical findings to non-technical audiences
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust security clearance (Tier II)
Desired Qualifications:
  • Prior experience supporting federal health communications or public health programs, particularly with SAMHSA
  • Familiarity with the 988 Suicide & Crisis Lifeline, behavioral health crisis services, or suicide and substance use prevention data
  • Experience supporting paid media measurement and evaluation, including KPI development, performance benchmarking, and campaign effectiveness analysis
  • Knowledge of web analytics platforms and SEO performance monitoring in support of federal digital properties
  • Familiarity with the OMB Paperwork Reduction Act (PRA) process as it applies to survey research and data collection activities
  • Experience coordinating data validation with multiple stakeholders, including government agencies, grantees, and third-party administrators
  • Knowledge of federal data governance, privacy requirements, and security frameworks relevant to handling public health data
  • Familiarity with digital asset management systems such as Canto or similar platforms
  • Experience with awareness tracking methodologies, including periodic surveys and longitudinal behavioral data analysis
