Job description

This is a remote position.

Superlanet is seeking an Epic OpTime/Anesthesia Analyst for our healthcare client in Texas. This is a direct hire, primarily remote opportunity with quarterly travel required. 

Position Summary

The Epic Application Analyst will serve as the subject matter expert and technical contact for their focus application areas. They will take the lead in primary areas of work, including Projects, Changes, and Break/Fix escalations. The Analyst will apply standard principles, theories, and concepts related to their technical discipline, providing solutions to complex problems.

Responsibilities

  • Design, build, configure, test, and maintain clinical information systems with a focus on surgical operations and anesthesia care.

  • Serve as a liaison between business operations, providers, IT teams, system users, and vendors to address issues and resolve problems.

  • Provide remote and in-person support to end-users, monitoring, investigating, troubleshooting, and resolving incoming tickets.

  • Coordinate system fixes and changes with software vendors and collaborate with training teams and operations for the deployment of application changes.

  • Create test scripts, timelines, and testing plans for application and workflow changes.

  • Perform cross-application testing and coordinate with requestors and users for validation.

  • Work with technical colleagues to identify and resolve infrastructure-related issues impacting clinical applications.

  • Maintain technical knowledge of assigned applications, understanding infrastructure relationships and user impact.

  • Support system upgrades, new releases, and enhanced functionalities, ensuring alignment with ITIL processes.

  • Participate in special projects and other related duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in health, science, or business field (or equivalent four years of related professional experience).

  • Three years of Epic experience.

  • Strong knowledge of clinical information systems, informatics, data management, and administration.

  • Proven experience in information systems implementation, development, and support within a large-scale healthcare organization.

  • Active Epic Certification or Accreditation in Optime and Anesthesia.

  • Experience supporting clinicians in a technical or educational role.

  • Strong problem-solving skills, judgment, and adherence to organizational policies.

  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.

  • Must maintain active Epic certification for primary EHR module(s).

Preferred Qualifications

  • 5-7 years of clinical information systems experience or equivalent.

  • Experience as a major participant in EHR configuration.

  • Ability to work with senior staff and managers, providing technical guidance and advice.

Salary based on experience $100,000 - $115,000
