Job description

This is a remote position.

Superlanet is seeking an experienced Epic Ambulatory Analyst to support our healthcare client in Texas. This is a primarily remote, direct-hire opportunity, with quarterly travel to Texas required.

The Epic Ambulatory Analyst will serve as a subject matter expert and primary technical resource for Epic Ambulatory, supporting application build, optimization, testing, upgrades, and ongoing production support. This role requires strong Epic Ambulatory core experience, with additional knowledge of Behavioral Health workflows and regulatory requirements within the ambulatory setting.

The Analyst will take the lead on assigned projects, system changes, enhancements, and complex break/fix escalations. This individual will work closely with clinical, operational, and technical stakeholders to translate business and clinical requirements into effective Epic solutions while ensuring system reliability, workflow efficiency, and regulatory compliance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Serve as a subject matter expert for Epic Ambulatory, providing application expertise and guidance to clinical, operational, and technical stakeholders.

  • Analyze clinical and operational workflows and translate requirements into effective Epic configuration, build, and optimization.

  • Support Ambulatory and Behavioral Health workflows, ensuring application configuration aligns with clinical, operational, and regulatory requirements.

  • Lead assigned application projects, enhancements, system changes, upgrades, and complex break/fix issues from analysis through implementation.

  • Create test scripts, testing plans, and implementation timelines for application and workflow changes.

  • Perform comprehensive application testing, including integrated and cross-application testing, to validate configuration and downstream impacts.

  • Coordinate and participate in user acceptance testing (UAT) with requestors, clinical users, and other stakeholders.

  • Troubleshoot complex application issues and collaborate with technical teams to identify application, integration, or infrastructure-related root causes.

  • Maintain a strong understanding of the assigned Epic applications, including system dependencies, integrations, infrastructure relationships, and potential impact to end users.

  • Provide ongoing production support for Epic upgrades, new releases, enhancements, workflow changes, and optimization initiatives.

  • Support change and problem management activities in accordance with established ITIL processes and organizational standards.

  • Partner with clinical and operational teams to identify opportunities for workflow improvement, system optimization, and increased adoption.

  • Maintain appropriate application documentation, testing records, change documentation, and system configuration standards.

  • Perform additional duties and special projects as assigned.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in a healthcare, science, information technology, business, or related field. In lieu of a degree, four (4) years of related professional experience supporting clinical, ancillary, or business environments will be considered.

  • Minimum of two (2) years of Epic experience, with hands-on experience supporting Epic Ambulatory.

  • Active Epic certification or accreditation in Epic Ambulatory or another relevant core Epic application required.

  • Strong hands-on experience with Epic Ambulatory core functionality, configuration, build, testing, and support.

  • Experience supporting Behavioral Health workflows within Epic Ambulatory.

  • Strong understanding of regulatory requirements and their impact on ambulatory clinical workflows and system configuration.

  • Strong knowledge of clinical information systems, clinical informatics, workflow analysis, and healthcare data management.

  • Demonstrated success supporting the implementation, development, optimization, and ongoing support of enterprise clinical information systems within a large-scale healthcare organization.

  • Ability to independently troubleshoot complex application issues and serve as a senior escalation point.

  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
