Job description

Law Clerk I - Remote, Washington, DC

Duration: 12+ months

Day to Day Responsibilities:

Work under the direction of a Supervisory Paralegal or a Project Supervisor.
Perform complex legal research for the trial staff.
Assist in preparing draft legal documents, such as motions, briefs, memoranda of law, etc.
Review documents for relevance and privilege.
Assist attorneys with all phases of litigation.

Required Skills:

Experience in Relativity, FOIA Express, Microsoft Purview, and Microsoft Office Suite.
Sound working knowledge of federal and state court systems, legal research procedures, and legal research resources.
Excellent written and oral communication skills.
Thorough knowledge of legal research tools such as LEXIS and Westlaw.
Hands-on familiarity with computer applications, including word processing, databases, spreadsheets, and imaging.
Knowledge of eDiscovery procedures and resources.
