Job Description:

Job Duck is seeking an experienced Legal Assistant to provide administrative and paralegal support to a growing legal team handling estate planning, probate, and business transactional matters. In this role, you will help attorneys prepare for upcoming transactions, gather client information, produce legal documents, and customize contracts while supporting the firm’s existing staff. Your work will help reduce administrative workloads, strengthen document preparation processes, and ensure attorneys receive dependable support across multiple practice areas. The ideal candidate is friendly, kind, detail-oriented, and capable of working independently while maintaining positive relationships with the team. This opportunity is well suited for a legal professional who can take ownership of assigned work and contribute meaningfully without requiring constant guidance or supervision.

Compensation Range: 1150 USD to 1220 USD

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Use Clio and related tools to support matter management, documentation, and time entry processes.
  • Maintain accurate information within the firm’s systems and legal technology platforms.
  • Upload required information, documents, and service materials.
  • Customize contracts and assist with legal drafting.
  • Produce legal documents accurately and efficiently.
  • Provide support for business transactional matters.
  • Review work carefully to ensure accuracy, completeness, and attention to detail.
  • Coordinate with attorneys and staff while independently managing assigned responsibilities.
  • Assist current staff members with assigned legal and administrative work to reduce their workload.
  • Conduct client intake and collect relevant case or matter information.
  • Gather and organize client information required for legal matters and transactions.
  • Assist with estate planning matters and related document preparation.
  • Perform administrative and paralegal tasks based on the needs of the legal team.
  • Support attorneys with upcoming estate planning, probate, and business transactions.
  • Protect confidential client, firm, and legal information.
  • Follow established firm procedures when preparing, organizing, and maintaining legal documents.
  • Communicate with clients in a friendly, kind, and professional manner.

Requirements:

• Strong professional experience in estate planning, probate, and business transactions is required.

• Experience supporting attorneys with legal and administrative responsibilities is required.

• Experience gathering client information and producing legal documents is required.

• Experience with legal drafting and contract customization is required.

• Previous experience with estate planning matters is highly preferred.

• Experience with Clio is preferred.

• The role will support a firm located in Idaho and operating in the Mountain Standard Time zone.

• Exact working hours must be confirmed.

• Spanish is not required.

• Required and preferred software exposure includes:

 • Clio

 • Ajax, an artificial intelligence integration used with Clio for performance and time entry tracking

 • RoboForm

• The position may involve approximately 6 to 15 calls per day, based on the selected call scale in the source notes.

8:30 AM - 5:30 PM [MST][MDT] (United States of America)
