  • Provide real-world, experience-based feedback to R&D teams to strengthen ongoing development of ASR platforms.
  • Assist with ASR testing and deployments in locations such as test tanks, lakes and the open ocean to build operational readiness in various conditions.
  • Maintain ownership of ASR platforms, ensuring high reliability and care, and support tendering and operational teams while upholding Quality, Health, Safety and Environmental standards.

Job description

To strengthen our team at our location in Bremen with flexible working time models and the option of home office we are looking for an

AUV Technician (all genders welcome)

We are looking for a pioneering AUV Technician to support our Autonomous Subsea Robotics (ASV) Field Service Team. You will be working with the latest technologies to test, iterate and operate our fleet of ASRs to ensure they exceed customer expectations.

What you can expect

  • Support the preparation, setup and execution of testing plans for our ASR platforms, supporting the move from R&D testing to real-world hardening and capability development

  • Provide real-world, experience-based feedback to R&D teams to strengthen the ongoing development of our ASR platforms

  • Support ASR testing and deployments in a variety of locations such as test tanks, lakes and the open ocean to build up operational strength in various conditions

  • Provide support to tendering teams to support bids and ultimately deliver the solution to the customer

  • Provide support to operational team members for technologies you have helped develop

  • Take a strong role in the ownership of our ASR platforms instilling and a high level of care in the rest of the team to keep vehicles maintained and reliable

  • Ensure that all ASR activities, from the workshop to the worksite and conducted with the highest level of consideration for Quality, Health, Safety and the Environment

What you bring

  • An evidenced background in AUV Technician roles working with systems such as Hugin, SeaRaptor or A18-M in a variety of environments

  • Evidence of experience integration sensors spreads to AUV platforms

  • Evidence of experience maintaining and repairing AUV platforms

  • A strong desire to be at the forefront – willing to try new ideas even if the outcome isn’t certain while keeping a keen eye on operational safety

  • EU Driving License

  • An ability to communicate complex technical information to audiences who may not be technically minded
