You’ll be working directly with a growing, Australian-based HVAC Services business that:

This is a core financial execution role covering daily bookkeeping, complex Australian payroll, and inventory management. You aren't just "entering data"; you are the guardian of financial integrity—mastering Odoo tagging, reconciliation, and post-install compliance.
You’ll take the lead on:
Daily Financial Recording: Categorizing all transactions within Odoo with 100% accuracy, ensuring no backlog exists.
Australian Payroll & Compliance: Executing payroll across all cycles with zero errors, ensuring full adherence to Superannuation, PAYG, and BAS standards.
Monthly Close Excellence: Completing full account reconciliations within 5 business days of month-end.
Wholesale & AR Management: Monitoring 30-day trade accounts and matching supplier invoices to POs to maintain accurate inventory costs.
AI Workflow Integration: Identifying and implementing AI-assisted tools to automate transaction categorization and reduce manual effort.
Cross-Team Coordination: Utilizing Odoo’s tagging system to resolve invoice discrepancies with the sales and warehouse teams.
This Role Is a Great Fit If You:
Are an Odoo/ERP Specialist: You have direct experience (or strong familiarity) with Odoo or similar high-level ERP platforms and understand how sales, warehouse, and accounting intersect.
Are an Australian Payroll Expert: You have deep knowledge of Australian tax systems, including Superannuation, PAYG, and BAS reporting deadlines.
Are a Professional Skeptic: You have a high attention to detail and naturally double-check figures, matching invoices to POs with a "get it right the first time" mentality.
Have 3–5+ years of experience in bookkeeping, preferably within a service-based, wholesale, or trades environment.
Are High-Accountability: You thrive in a 3-hour daily window, delivering reliable outputs without the need for constant supervision.
Communicate with professional confidence and are comfortable querying discrepancies with internal team members.
After 60–90 Days:
Zero Backlog: All daily transactions are categorized and current, with Odoo records reflecting real-time business health.
Payroll Transition: You have successfully supported the transition of all payroll activities into Odoo with 100% accuracy.
Seamless Reconciliation: Monthly bank and account reconciliations are completed within the 5-day window with zero unresolved discrepancies.
AI Efficiency: You have identified at least one manual workflow that can be improved or automated using AI-enabled accounting tools.
