Your daily tasks will include
- designing, administering, and optimizing business processes within Workday Financials (e.g., Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, General Ledger, Banking & Settlement, Procurement, Expenses, Revenue Recognition)
- acting as the primary point of contact for Finance stakeholders (Controlling, Accounting, FP&A, Tax, Treasury) on all Workday Finance process matters
- capturing and translating finance business requirements into Workday process configurations and solutions
- managing and maintaining Workday PSA processes (e.g., project billing, revenue recognition, resource management) in close collaboration with the respective stakeholders
- ensuring seamless integration and data integrity between Finance and PSA modules (e.g., project costs, billing, and revenue flows)
- troubleshooting and resolving process issues and proactively proposing improvements for efficiency and effectiveness
- configuring and maintaining business processes, condition rules, approval chains, notifications, and security assignments
- owning the preparation, maintenance, and regular updating of comprehensive process documentation
- monitoring process adherence to company policies and supporting compliance efforts
- managing and prioritizing module requirements to ensure on-time implementation
The following will make you succeed in this role
- 3+ years of hands-on experience with Workday Financials (business process configuration, troubleshooting, and optimization)
- strong understanding of end-to-end finance processes (P2P, O2C, R2R, expense management, fixed assets)
- experience with Workday PSA (project billing, revenue recognition, resource management)
- experience working with Finance stakeholders at various levels
- strong understanding of the cross-module touchpoints between Financials and PSA
- strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a structured approach to process design
- excellent documentation skills — ability to produce clear, audit-ready process documentation
- fluency in English (written and spoken); German is a plus
- ideally Workday Pro certification in Financials or related modules
- experience in a private equity-backed, multi-country, multi-entity environment is a plus
- experience with change management in process transformation projects is a plus
- familiarity with Workday reporting & analytics (custom reports, calculated fields, dashboards) is a plus
For Austria: The law stipulates that the minimum wage must be specified in job postings. The minimum salary is 62.664 euros/year in the collective agreement. Adequate to your skills, we are willing to pay much more.
