Job description

Senior Insurance Defense Attorney

Career Consulting Partners has partnered with a top AV-rated full-service law firm. The firm has been fortunate to represent many clients who are members of the Fortune 100 and Fortune 500 lists of multinational corporations. We are currently seeking a Senior Insurance Defense Attorney. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in insurance defense and be comfortable managing cases from inception through resolution. This role offers meaningful responsibility, client interaction, and the opportunity to work across a variety of complex litigation matters.

Ideal Candidate:

Manage a full caseload independently from inception to trial/arbitration
Draft and argue motions, including dispositive motions
Conduct depositions (parties, witnesses,experts)
Handle discovery and case strategy development
Communicate effectively with clients, carriers, and opposing counsel
Participate in the settlement negotiations, mediations, and trial preparation

Requirements:

Active member in good standing with the State Bar of California.
8 to 10 years of civil litigation experience.
Insurance Defense experience required.
Strong proficiency in legal research and writing.
Demonstrated experience taking and defending depositions.
Familiarity with insurance carrier billing guidelines and reporting requirements.
Detail-oriented, articulate, collaborative, and able to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.

Compensation & Benefits:

Base Income Range: $170,000 - $195,000
Plus, additional performance compensation for exceeding billables
Comprehensive health, dental, and vision insurance.
401(k)
Generous paid time off (PTO) and holidays.
1800 Billables

Location:

Long Beach, California (90802)
Remote - Come into the office as needed
