Roles & Responsibilities

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or equivalent.
  • Minimum 5 years experience in Inventory/Cost Accounting and SAP.
  • Knowledge of IFRS, US GAAP, statutory reporting, and inventory controls.
  • Fluent English plus one additional language (German, French, or Spanish).

Requirements:

  • End-to-end inventory accounting, month-end close, and account reconciliations, including inventory valuation (FIFO/LCM) and GR/IR management.
  • Reconcile GR/IR, resolve discrepancies, and support product costing and adjustments.
  • Execute internal controls, ensure compliance, and support audits to deliver high-quality financial data.
  • Collaborate with Operations, Supply Chain, Procurement, and Finance teams to drive process improvements, SSC optimization, and alignment with global accounting policies; leverage SAP (CO, MM, FI, material ledger, GR/IR, costing) and Excel for analyses.

That's why were partnering with a leading global organization in the chemical and manufacturing industry to find an Accounts Receivable (AR) Specialist for their growing Shared Service Center.

About the role:
As an Inventory Accounting Specialist, you will manage end-to-end inventory accounting for assigned entities within the SSC, ensuring accurate IFRS/statutory accounting, product costing, inventory valuation (FIFO/LCM), GR/IR management, and adjustments, while meeting SLAs, internal controls, and closing timelines to support efficient processes and high-quality financial data.

Key Responsibilities:

  • End-to-end inventory accounting, month-end close, and account reconciliations.
  • Reconcile GR/IR, resolve discrepancies, and support product costing.
  • Execute internal controls, ensure compliance, and support audits.
  • Collaborate with Operations, Supply Chain, Procurement, and Finance teams.
  • Strong SAP (CO, MM, FI, material ledger, GR/IR, costing), Excel, and analytical skills.
  • Support process improvements, SSC optimization, and global accounting policies
Who We're Looking For:


  • Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or equivalent.

  • Minimum 5 years experience in Inventory/Cost Accounting and SAP.
