Job description

This is a remote position.

The Marketing Manager identifies critical trends in the marketplace that will impact profit growth and identifies appropriate strategies and action plans. They will develop a deep understanding of the target market, customers, and competitors. The Marketing Manager will develop appropriate strategies and tactics to efficiently achieve profit goals.



Requirements

Job Duties/Responsibilities & Skills:

Conducts Analysis of Market Environment

  • Maintains an understanding of relevant market factors.
  • Overseas market research, clearly defining research objectives, key questions, and the plan for analyzing and applying research results.
  • Interprets implications of customer research to drive product design, positioning, selling strategies, and/or implementation planning.
  • Tests for causality to identify root causes and solve problems.
  • Identifies cost drivers and determines their impact on the company, product and customers.
  • Synthesizes data and facts from various sources to identify relationships and patterns, drawing logical conclusion.
  • Defines problems and structures analytical paths to solving them; disaggregates problems into key issues to efficiently solve them.
  • Develops sound, logical business cases backed by financial data to support business alternatives.

 

Strategy/Planning Creation
  • Leverages market insights to develop value statements that clearly articulate benefits of UPS’s services and motivates trial/usage.
  • Identifies, evaluates, and selects strategies that will drive the greatest impact and achieve objectives.
  • Assesses likely customer and competitor responses to marketing strategies.
  • Utilizes the broad range of promotional alternatives and tactics available to achieve objectives and strategies.

 

Market Execution
  • Manages project timelines to ensuring outputs are delivered on time and within budget.
  • Monitors and reports on performance of initiatives to measure success.
  • Identifies, documents, and articulates key levers that drive customer value at the sub-segment level, or which are detrimental to the relationship.
  • Establishes forecasted impact of plans backed by research and past performance analysis.


People Management and Development
  • Holds others accountable to established performance levels to achieve individual and group goals.
  • Identifies individual and team skill gaps and developmental opportunities.
  • Ensures performance expectations of initiatives are clearly understood, realistic, and equally owned by those who must execute successfully.
  • Conducts frequent performance evaluations and development discussions.
  • Coaches’ others and provides on-going feedback and support to improve performance.

Education & Experience
  • Master Business Administration preferred.
  • 4-5 years of work experience.
  • Excellent English communication, reading, and writing skills.
