Job description
As a Carrier Sales Representative, you will play a crucial role in theachievement of your branch’s sales targets and growth. You will facilitate theachievement of these goals by building lasting carrier relationships with ourcurrent and new partner carriers, negotiating fair but competitive rates, andmanaging the loads you book from pickup to delivery.Not only is your role vital to the success of our carrier relationships and executionof successful shipments, you will also be a major contributor to the onboardingof new business. You will be working daily with Sales Representatives inyour branch on costs for adhoc and RFP freight. You will use your knowledge ofthe industry, negotiating skills, and relationships with partner carriers to securefair rates that support our client’s budgets and our carrier’s business.You will be the frontline contact for the carriers you assign to loads and theprimary contact for our accounting team in the event of invoicingdiscrepancies. If a carrier you assign has an issue, you will be responsible forleading the team to resolution and for securing the relationship with thecarrier.
