  • Manage procurement processes including RFQs, negotiations, cost accountability, RFP preparation, vendor qualification, and contract performance monitoring.
  • Oversee supplier relationships, schedules, and purchase orders for the client account or product family, ensuring on-time delivery, quality, and cost; participate in continuous improvement initiatives such as Value Stream Mapping or Kaizen.

Collins Aerospace is seeking a Senior Work Transfer Manager to support our Safety, Cargo & Lighting business within our Interiors division. This role will lead complex supplier work transfer initiatives across a global supply base and operate in a highly collaborative, matrixed environment.

This position is remote, with a strong preference for candidates located in the Central or Eastern time zones due to regular engagement with direct reports and cross-functional partners in Europe and India. This position may expect up to 25% travel.

What You Will Do

  • Lead and execute supplier work transfer initiatives (make vs. buy, supplier-to-supplier, and strategic sourcing transfers) across global regions, ensuring continuity of supply, cost, quality, and delivery.
  • Support and drive procurement strategies aligned with Oxygen and Lighting business objectives within the Interiors portfolio.
  • Executes processes, standards, and operational plans in support of procurement goals, including RFQs, negotiations, cost accountability and/or program execution.
  • Approves and qualifies vendors to fulfill account needs; responds to client issues or problems.
  • Analyzes and reviews price proposals, financial reports, and other data and information to provide input on reasonable prices.
  • Prepares and reviews request for proposals (RFP) and bid packages.
  • Analyzes and monitors contract performance to ensure compliance with contractual obligations.
  • Responsible for all aspects of the relationship with a specific supplier within a commodity.
  • Directs and manages all schedules, and purchase orders for the client account or the product family.
  • Ensures product is delivered on time, meets quality standards, and at the right cost.
  • May perform delivery assurance responsibilities for critical parts.
  • Participate in C.O.R.E./Continuous Improvement events and activities such as Value Stream Mapping or Kaizen Events.

Qualifications You Must Have

  • Bachelor’s degree in Procurement, Supply Chain, Finance, Engineering, or related field and minimum 10 years prior relevant experience or a Master’s Degree in a related field and minimum 7 years prior relevant experience is required.
  • Project management certification or 5 years prior proven experience leading a project management function or team
  • Experience with Supply Chain processes and supplier interface
  • Understanding of contract structures, business terms and conditions.
  • Strong negotiation skills
  • Proven experience of strong analytical & problem-solving skills
  • Experience with MS Office applications and strong communication skills
  • MRP/ERP systems experience
  • Must be willing and able to travel 25% of the time.

Qualifications We Prefer

  • Experience with strategic sourcing and developing and implementing supplier strategies
  • Experience with Work transfers (Supplier transfers, make vs buy decisions, etc.)
  • Demonstrated ability to lead, manage and motivate global teams of at least 5–6, providing coaching and reskilling support aligned with organizational goals
  • Experience managing multiple projects simultaneously and in an organized manner, with strong customer service focus.
  • Previous experience with SAP
  • Technical background in production environments
  • Aerospace industry experience
  • Six Sigma or CORE certification

The salary range for this role is 132,400 USD - 251,600 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
