Job description

This is a remote position.

We review and analyze client systems and work with them to design and implement solutions that enable our clients to take advantage of the latest technology available.


We are looking for a skilled and motivated Cloud DevOps Engineer to join the CloudSquad team. As a Cloud DevOps Engineer you will play a crucial role in designing and implementing Cloud infrastructure for our clients to ensure efficiency, scalability, and reliability. You will collaborate with client and internal teams to automate processes, streamline deployments, and optimize the overall development lifecycle.



Key Responsibilities:

  • Implement and manage Infrastructure as Code using tools such as Terraform or Deployment Manager.

  • Design, build, and maintain GCP infrastructure components to meet application and business requirements.

  • Develop and maintain automation scripts and workflows to streamline deployment and operational processes.

  • Orchestrate complex workflows and integrations across various GCP services.

  • Implement and optimize continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines.

  • Work closely with development teams to ensure smooth and efficient code deployment.

  • Containerize applications using Docker for portability and consistency.

  • Implement and manage container orchestration tools like Kubernetes for scalable and resilient application deployment.

  • Set up and configure monitoring and logging solutions for proactive issue identification and resolution.

  • Implement alerting mechanisms.

  • Implement and enforce security best practices across the GCP environment.

  • Ensure compliance with industry standards and organizational security policies.

  • Collaborate with development, operations, and security teams to align objectives and priorities.

  • Optimize infrastructure for cost, performance, and scalability.

  • Diagnose and troubleshoot issues related to Cloud infrastructure, deployments, and applications.

  • Respond to incidents and outages promptly to minimize downtime and impact on users.

  • Maintain up-to-date documentation of infrastructure configurations, processes, and procedures.

  • Conduct periodic performance assessments and implement improvements as needed.


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.

  • A relevant DevOps certification.

  • Proven experience as a DevOps Engineer with a focus on Сloud platforms.

  • Strong proficiency in scripting languages (e.g. Python, Bash) for automation.

  • Hands-on experience with Cloud services and products.

  • Expertise in implementing and managing CI/CD pipelines.

  • Familiarity with containerization tools such as Docker and orchestration with Kubernetes.

  • Knowledge of Infrastructure as Code tools.

  • Experience with monitoring and logging tools.

  • Understanding of security best practices and compliance requirements.


Preferred Skills:

  • Cloud platform DevOps Engineer or related certification.

  • Experience with other public Cloud platforms.

  • Familiarity with configuration management tools.

  • Knowledge of networking concepts and infrastructure design.

  • Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
