Mexico City's technology ecosystem has grown dramatically, with the Condesa and Roma neighborhoods establishing themselves as the center of gravity for the city's startup and digital economy community. Konfio, Clip, Kueski, and Kavak are among the Mexican-origin technology companies that have achieved unicorn valuations, demonstrating that globally competitive businesses can be built from CDMX. The fintech sector is particularly active, with Mexico's large unbanked and underbanked population creating commercial opportunity that has attracted significant venture capital. Guadalajara, known as the Silicon Valley of Mexico, has a longer-established technology sector anchored by software development and IT services for US clients, creating a large senior technical professional community with significant international working experience. Third, Mexico City's infrastructure challenges, particularly traffic and pollution, affect quality of life for professionals who need to navigate the city regularly, and senior professionals should verify the practicality of their specific working and living arrangements within the city.
