Through our platform, clients can access 1:1 check-ins, online courses, articles, videos, group sessions, mindfulness practices, and a team of committed experts. We believe that mental and physical well-being are deeply connected. With Lifestyle Experts focusing on nutrition, exercise, and sleep, we offer a truly holistic approach that helps people take ownership of their health. We’re proud to work with forward-thinking organizations and are committed to raising the bar on accessible care.

We are already helping over 2000+ (international) companies and 550K+ employees, e.g. Rituals, Deloitte, Decathlon, KPMG, and McDonalds.

About the assignment

At OpenUp we focus on preventive care, which means we don't do diagnosis, but we help people stay healthy, vital, and energetic before challenges arise.

As a freelance doctor on this assignment, you will support our users with their health and well-being on-site. You interpret findings, and translate them into clear, science-backed, and motivating advice. Your focus is always forward-looking: what can this person do today to feel better, stay healthy, and remain sustainably employable? You make health tangible and actionable, in a warm and approachable way.

You work closely with our internal team and contribute your medical expertise to a fast-growing, mission-driven organization that's raising the bar on accessible, preventive care.

About you

You're a medical doctor (MD) who's passionate about making a difference and about helping people take ownership of their health. You enjoy working in a dynamic, fast-paced environment and are eager to contribute in assignment base to a meaningful mission.

We welcome experts who meet the following criteria:

  • A medical degree and registration as a physician (BIG registration)
  • Experience conducting preventive medical examinations, occupational health assessments, or similar onsite consultations
  • Interest in or experience with lifestyle medicine, preventive care, vitality, and a healthy-lifestyle approach rather than diagnosis and treatment
  • Strong Dutch and English communication skills (written and spoken)
  • Comfortable traveling to and working onsite at client locations
  • Entrepreneurial, proactive, and open to continuous learning
  • A team player who thrives independently and takes ownership of personal and professional growth
  • A natural connector: you create a safe, supportive space and act decisively to help people move forward
  • You live the "practice what you preach" mindset, showing integrity and reflection in how you approach both clients and colleagues

Freelance experience is a plus, as we value self-starters who are confident in managing their own practice.

What you can expect

Join us at a time of exciting growth, where your expertise and ideas are valued. Here's what you can expect:

  • A freelance agreement for an initial period of 3 to 6 months, with the possibility to extend
  • A starting date of September
  • Onsite assignments at our clients' locations
  • A diverse and international team with expertise in work and organizational psychology, health psychology, lifestyle medicine, and more
  • A culture of reflection, collaboration, and continuous improvement
