Job description

Maritime & Healthcare Group (MHG) is seeking a qualified and experienced Medi-Spa Physician / Aesthetic Doctor for an exciting opportunity onboard an international cruise ship.

The successful candidate will join the onboard Spa & Wellness team, providing professional medical-aesthetic consultations and non-surgical cosmetic treatments to an international clientele while maintaining the highest standards of patient safety, clinical care, confidentiality, and guest service.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct medical-aesthetic consultations and assess guests’ suitability prior to treatment.

  • Perform approved non-surgical aesthetic procedures, including:

    • Botulinum toxin treatments

    • Dermal fillers

    • Facial rejuvenation and contouring

    • Lip enhancement

    • Skin rejuvenation and medical-grade skincare treatments

    • Other aesthetic procedures within the physician’s qualifications and scope of practice

  • Clearly explain procedures, expected outcomes, potential risks, contraindications, and aftercare requirements.

  • Obtain and document informed consent before treatment.

  • Maintain accurate, complete, and confidential medical records.

  • Provide appropriate post-treatment care and follow-up.

  • Maintain high standards of hygiene, infection prevention, patient safety, and clinical governance.

  • Monitor aesthetic products, medical supplies, equipment, and inventory.

  • Collaborate with the Spa Manager and other onboard professionals to deliver an exceptional guest experience.

  • Participate in consultations, presentations, promotional activities, and other initiatives supporting the Medi-Spa operation.

  • Comply with all company, shipboard medical, health and safety, and emergency procedures.

Requirements

  • Medical degree (MD, MBBS, or equivalent).

  • Valid and current medical licence or professional registration.

  • Demonstrable experience in aesthetic medicine or medical aesthetics.

  • Practical experience administering botulinum toxin and dermal fillers is highly desirable.

  • Additional qualifications or training in Dermatology, Plastic Surgery, Cosmetic Medicine, or Aesthetic Medicine would be advantageous.

  • Excellent written and spoken English.

  • Strong communication, consultation, and interpersonal skills.

  • Professional appearance and a strong guest-service orientation.

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a multicultural, international team.

  • Previous cruise ship, hospitality, or international medical experience would be advantageous.

  • Availability and eligibility to complete all required seafarer and pre-employment documentation.
