Division: Weir Minerals
Location:  Perú/México

Work Arrangement: remote

What we do at Weir

We are a global leader in mining technology for a sustainable future. We help our customers extract the resources the world needs more efficiently and more sustainably. Our planet’s future depends on the transition to renewable energy, and that transition can only happen with the metals and minerals our customers deliver. So, we work side by side with mines across the globe to move less rock, use less energy, use water wisely, and create less waste. Together, we drive the shift to smart, efficient, and more sustainable mining.

Make your impact

You’ll play a key role in solving real-world challenges. You’ll apply your skills to deliver results that matter whether that’s through engineering, planning or customer support. You’ll work with purpose, learn every day and help shape a more sustainable future.

What you’ll do

  • Policy Governance and Employment Policy: Maintain and improve global employee lifecycle policies, ensuring they remain clear, current, compliant and appropriately controlled. Coordinate with Legal, Employee Relations, policy owners and subject-matter experts to assess regulatory requirements, manage approvals, evaluate impacts and maintain accurate policy records.
  • Harmonisation, Simplification and Continuous Improvement: Analyse global and local policies to identify duplication, gaps, unnecessary variation and control weaknesses. Develop and coordinate improvements to simplify and harmonise policies, manage justified local exceptions, mitigate risks and improve the employee and manager experience.
  • Policy Lifecycle, Metadata and Automation Readiness: Coordinate the full policy lifecycle from initiation through retirement, maintaining accurate inventories, approval trails, review schedules and metadata. Standardise documentation and workflows to support automation, reporting, effective controls and reduced manual effort.
  • Process Assurance, Controls and Risk: Monitor compliance with policies, processes, service levels and controls, working with policy and process owners to identify gaps, risks and recurring issues. Coordinate corrective actions, support audits and remediation, and ensure documentation reflects relevant ethics, privacy, security and responsible AI requirements.
  • Process, Technology and Employee Experience: Translate policy and control requirements into clear process, business, data and system requirements. Partner with HR Operations, HR Technology and policy owners to ensure Workday and ServiceNow processes align with policy requirements, supporting testing, automation, controls and an improved user experience.
  • Stakeholder Engagement and Advisory Support: Partner with key stakeholders across HR, Employee Relations, Payroll, Legal, Risk and Technology, providing practical guidance on policies, processes, controls and governance. Coordinate input, recommendations and working sessions, while supporting knowledge transfer and addressing capability gaps.
  • Safety First: Demonstrate 100% commitment to our zero harm behaviors in support of our drive towards developing a world-class safety culture.

What you’ll bring

Must-haves:

  • 3+ years’ experience implementing policy or process frameworks, assessing adherence to design, service levels and controls, and coordinating remediation across multiple stakeholders or jurisdictions.
  • Relevant experience in HR policy, employment governance, HR operations, risk and controls, compliance, process assurance or a related discipline.
  • Strong knowledge of employment-policy governance, the policy lifecycle, employment-law and regulatory requirements, internal controls, document management and exception governance.
  • Analytical capability to identify duplication, variation and risk, structure policy metadata and management information, and translate complex requirements into practical improvements; familiarity with HR technology and workflow automation is advantageous.
  • Exposure to global or regional stakeholder environments.
  • Strong written English and the ability to produce clear documentation and stakeholder communications.

Nice to Haves

  • Exposure to HR technology, workflow automation, employee lifecycle processes, Payroll or Time & Attendance.
  • Familiarity with HR platforms such as Workday and ServiceNow.
