Purpose of Role:The Senior Project Manager is a key position responsible for managing specific strategic operational transformation projects within our organization. The role entails managing the identification, planning and delivery of projects and programs that align with long-term APAC operational strategies. Additionally, this role collaborates with other departments to ensure that APAC initiatives are in line with overall business objectives and direction.

Key Responsibilities: (Project Management:

·         Ability to deliver multiple projects and programs concurrently.

·         Scope, Plan, coordinate, and manage all phases of project and program lifecycle, from design to delivery.

·         Ensure project management disciplines and tools are effectively utilised.

·         Define scope and roles within projects, providing necessary documentation.

·         Ensure that changes to project scope and deliverables are documented, endorsed and delivered.

Transformation delivery

·         Strategic thinking and understanding organizational goals and how to deliver within the project.

·         Aligning the project deliverables to ensure they realise the business strategy.

·         Navigate ambiguity and evolving situations ensuring that plans are adjusted after consultation with program governance.

Change Management

·         Supporting the delivery of successful transformation by integrating change management into the project and governance framework.

·         Ensuring smooth transitions during project execution.

·         Document and roll out communication plans for all projects.

Stakeholder Management:

·         Manage relationships with multiple stakeholders across various departments.

·         Identify and manage risks and dependencies associated with the projects by working to mitigate risks, ensuring collaboration across projects, programs and stakeholders for a successful project outcomes.

Financial Oversight:

·         Manage project budgets, reviewing regularly for alignment or opportunities for cost reduction.

·         Develop resource plans and financial requirements for projects.

·         Prepare project estimates and manage costs, ensuring financial measures are met.

Quality and Risk Management:

·         Define and implement quality requirements to ensure project success.

·         Identify risks and maintain a risk register for ongoing monitoring and management.

·         Follow effective change control processes to manage project variations.

·         Identifying and managing risks and dependencies associated with allocated projects. Work to mitigate risks, ensure collaboration across projects, programs and stakeholders to ensure successful project outcomes.

Performance Monitoring:

·         Monitor project performance to identify issues and opportunities early, taking proactive measures.

·         Manage project interfaces and the planning of all scope elements effectively.

Change Management and transformation:

·         Supporting the delivery of successful transformation by integrating change management into the project and governance framework.

·         Ensuring smooth transitions during project execution.

·         Document and roll out communication plans for all projects.

Job Knowledge/Education and Qualifications:·        

At least ten (10) years’ experience in a project management role in heavy equipment manufacturing, supply chain operations or similar

·         Formal qualification in project management (PMP preferred)

·         Demonstrable project management, transformation and change management skills and experience.

·         Demonstrable experience in undertaking engineering projects i.e. civil, mechanical or electrical

·         Ability to work independently with minimum supervision.

·         Ability to work with diverse group of professionals in close cooperation.

·         Excellent written and oral communication skills
