Job description

This is a remote position.

Job Summary:

The Billing Specialist will be responsible for ensuring accurate invoicing, timely payments, and effective resolution of billing discrepancies. This role involves working closely with the finance team, sales department, and customers to maintain accurate billing records and support overall financial operations. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in billing and accounts receivable, with excellent analytical and communication skills.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Billing & Invoicing:

    • Prepare and issue accurate invoices to customers based on contractual agreements, service delivery, and billing schedules.

    • Ensure timely processing of invoices and follow up on outstanding payments to maintain cash flow.

    • Reconcile billing discrepancies and resolve issues promptly, working with customers and internal teams as needed.

  • Customer Support:

    • Provide excellent customer service by addressing billing inquiries, concerns, and disputes in a timely and professional manner.

    • Collaborate with the sales and customer service teams to ensure accurate billing and resolve any issues affecting customer satisfaction.

  • Process Improvement:

    • Identify and recommend improvements to billing processes and procedures to enhance efficiency and accuracy.

    • Assist in the implementation of new billing systems or updates to existing systems as needed.

  • Compliance & Documentation:

    • Ensure billing practices comply with company policies and regulatory requirements.

    • Maintain thorough and accurate documentation of billing transactions, customer interactions, and issue resolutions.



Requirements

  • Latin America based.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.

  • Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in billing, accounts receivable, or a similar financial role (US regions preferredl).

  • Proficiency in accounting software and billing systems (e.g., Xero, Zoho Books,  SAP, or similar).

  • Strong understanding of accounting principles and billing practices.

  • Proficient in Google Workspace, particularly Google Sheets, for financial analysis and reporting.

  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with keen attention to detail.

  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities effectively.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills for interacting with customers and internal teams.
