Job description

Position Summary:

Position is responsible for creating, implementing, and overseeing direct mail and telemarketing fundraising efforts to meet membership revenue goals. This position works with other members of the fundraising team to ensure multichannel fundraising activities are cohesive and aligned with department strategies.

Part-Time (4 hours per day, 5 days per week for up to 12 weeks)

*This is a three-month temporary role.

Expected Compensation Range: $30.00 - $33.00 per hour. The exact salary rate is determined by experience and education related to the role, organizational compensation structure, and internal equity.

Location: Remote

Position Responsibilities:

  • Supports day-to-day direct mail and telemarketing activities, including writing copy and scripts for vendors; preparing data files; reviewing and approving proofs; and managing subsources for tracking responses.
  • Work with APMG and independently on data pulls and accurate subsource coding for tracking results and benchmark reporting.
  • Monitor active campaigns, flag and respond to issues, and help keep on top of deadlines and goals.
  • Keep track of both revenue and budget spent on campaigns.
  • Run quarterly campaigns and monthly renewals for direct mail and telemarketing
  • Coordinate with vendors, including weekly check-ins, prompt replies to deadlines and approvals, updating contracts, submitting invoices, and monitoring inventory.
  • Work with the Director of Membership to approve campaigns and strategy.
  • Perform other membership support duties as priorities and available hours permit.

Required Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience.
  • 3+ years of related experience in a complex, data-intensive operational or analytical environment.
  • Strong writing and editing skills.
  • Experience with retention, loyalty, or membership marketing.

Required Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:

  • Data-driven decision-making and the ability to adapt based on new information.
  • Strong collaboration, prioritization, and clear and consistent communication skills.
  • Experience budgeting, forecasting, and analyzing campaigns.
  • Working knowledge of databases and financial systems.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in Word, Excel, and Salesforce.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a highly deadline-driven environment.
  • Strong attention to detail.
