Are you ready to join a growing team?

CTG is seeking to fill a Data Scientist Senior opening for our client.

Location: Remote
Duration: 6 months

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Analyze large and complex data sets to solve unstructured business problems using statistical, econometric, and machine learning techniques.

  • Source, ingest, clean, and prepare data for analysis while supporting scalable and reliable data processes.

  • Develop and implement complex statistical, econometric, and machine learning models, including classification, clustering, pattern analysis, sampling, simulations, and predictive modeling.

  • Develop champion/challenger models and refine models based on performance, reliability, stability, and business feedback.

  • Build and support self-healing model frameworks and promote models into production environments.

  • Create model outputs, visualizations, and educational materials to communicate business value and analytical results to stakeholders.

  • Collaborate with senior data scientists and business partners to develop research approaches and adapt analytical techniques to client needs.

  • Review code for accuracy, efficiency, quality, and adherence to development best practices.

  • Lead and mentor less experienced team members in developing consumable data and model outputs.

  • Participate in stakeholder discussions regarding analytical results, opportunities, concerns, and production challenges.

  • Identify and escalate risk-related issues and adhere to applicable risk, regulatory, audit, and internal control standards.

Scope of Responsibilities:

  • Work independently on complex data science initiatives involving large and diverse data sets.

  • Apply statistical analysis, econometrics, machine learning, and data engineering techniques to support business and product objectives.

  • Develop solutions using SQL, Python, Alteryx, Tableau, Power BI, and related analytical tools.

  • Support data quality, model stability, and production scalability across on-premises and cloud-based environments.

  • Collaborate with data scientists, business partners, and technical teams to translate analytical findings into actionable business solutions.

Supervisory/Managerial Responsibilities:

  • None. May provide technical guidance and mentorship to less experienced team members.

Education and Experience Required:

  • Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of 5 years of related experience; or, in lieu of a degree, a combined minimum of 9 years of higher education and/or work experience, including at least 5 years of related experience.

  • 5+ years of experience in data science, statistics, econometrics, quantitative analysis, or a related field.

  • Experience working with large and complex data sets.

  • Strong experience with statistical and data science principles, including A/B testing, sample selection, hypothesis testing, model validation, and bias analysis.

  • Proficiency with statistical software, programming languages, and analytical tools.

  • Intermediate SQL and NoSQL knowledge, with experience performing data ETL using SQL and Python.

  • Experience working with hybrid databases across on-premises and cloud environments.

  • Experience with modeling techniques such as Bayesian modeling, classification, clustering, neural networks, non-parametric methods, and multivariate statistics.

  • Experience developing data visualizations using Tableau and Power BI.

  • Experience with Alteryx.

Education and Experience Preferred:

  • Master’s or Doctorate degree in Statistics, Economics, Finance, or a related quantitative discipline.

  • Advanced knowledge of econometric and statistical techniques, including time-series analysis, panel data methods, and logistic regression.

  • Strong experience with statistical programming languages, software, and analytical tools.

  • Experience developing and productionizing machine learning models in enterprise environments.

Excellent verbal and written English communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group are required.

The expected base salary for this position ranges from $43.06 - $71.76/hour. Salary offers are based on a wide range of factors including relevant skills, training, experience, education, market factors, and where applicable, licensure or certifications obtained. In addition to salary, a competitive benefit package is also offered.
