Job description

We are hiring on behalf of our client: a Canadian technology company that is used by millions of Canadians and deliberately AI-native. They are a fast growing AI forward collaborative team.

The role

We are looking for a Head of Content to own content and Public Relations (PR) end to end: the strategy, the voice, the calendar, and the hands-on work of turning the company's market data into stories that buyers, sellers, agents and journalists trust.

You will write and publish yourself, build the AI workflows that let one person move like a full content team, and grow the Content and PR function as the company expands into new markets.

What you'll own

  • Strategy and story. Build and run a content strategy that gives the company one consistent, credible voice across the app, web, social and media.

  • Content you make yourself. Write and produce data-driven market reports, articles, newsletters, white papers and short-form video, using the company's own listing and sold data as the backbone.

  • AI in the work, not on the sidelines. Design and run AI workflows for research, drafting, editing, repurposing and distribution, and build the small tools that make them repeatable.

  • PR and thought leadership. Turn data and insight into media stories, pitches and expert commentary that build the brand's authority in Canadian real estate.

  • Being found. Apply SEO best practices and make sure content is surfaced and cited in both search engines and AI assistants.

  • Results you can show. Track what works, cut what doesn't, and report on engagement, reach and brand impact in plain terms.

  • A function that compounds. Grow Content and PR over time, manage contractors or agencies as needed, and set the AI-first standards a future team will work by.

What we're looking for

This is a seat for someone who builds, not someone who briefs. The strongest candidates bring:

  • Proven content leadership. 5+ years in content strategy, creation and management, with hands-on PR work alongside it.

  • A truly AI-native way of working. You use AI daily and have built something real with it for your content work, such as a workflow that turns data into a first-draft report, a custom GPT or agent that holds brand voice, or an automated research or media-monitoring pipeline. You can explain which tools you used, what you did versus what the AI did, and where it fell short.

  • Judgment about AI. You check facts and numbers, protect accuracy, and know when a human voice matters more than speed.

  • Real writing craft. Exceptional writing, editing and storytelling, with a portfolio across formats.

  • Data fluency. Comfortable turning market numbers into clear, accurate stories, and using analytics to decide what to do next.

  • SEO know-how. Proven results optimizing content for search, and a working understanding of how content shows up in AI-generated answers.

  • PR that lands. You have pitched media and landed coverage, ideally data-driven stories. A full agency-style PR background is not required.

  • Eligibility to work in Canada without sponsorship, based in Canada (the role is fully remote nationwide), with excellent written and spoken English.

Nice to have

  • Experience writing about real estate or housing is a bonus. Fintech, personal finance or other consumer data content is just as relevant.

  • Hands-on with no-code or AI-assisted coding tools to build your own dashboards, automations or content tools is preferred.

  • Experience building a content or PR function from scratch at a fast-growing company, or established relationships with Canadian media.

What's on offer

  • Competitive pay and generous time off.

  • The chance to lead Content and PR for one of Canada's standout consumer platforms, working directly with the CEO.

  • Remote-first across Canada, with a flexible way of working.

  • Full health coverage: medical, dental, life, virtual care and travel.

  • Real ownership and autonomy inside a lean, founder-led, AI-native team that values continuous learning.

If you're a content leader who wants to build, not just manage, and you believe AI should change how great content gets made, we would love to hear from you.
