Location: Guadalajara, Mexico

Responsibilities

• Collaborate closely with the Product Owner, Software Engineers, and cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and translate them into scalable, business-focused solutions.

• Design and develop modern web applications using Angular, HTML5, CSS3, and Bootstrap.

• Develop and integrate RESTful Web Services to support communication between web applications and backend services.

• Troubleshoot, debug, and optimize applications to ensure performance, reliability, and security.

• Develop unit tests and automated tests to ensure solutions meet established quality standards.

• Perform code reviews to ensure adherence to coding standards, architectural guidelines, design patterns, and development best practices.

• Participate throughout the full software development lifecycle (SDLC), including technical research, solution evaluation, proof-of-concept development, implementation, and deployment.

• Partner with Product Management in developing product roadmaps and ensuring technical objectives and timelines are realistic and achievable.

• Collaborate with Enterprise Architects to develop solution designs aligned with established architectural standards and guidance.

Required Qualifications

• BA, BS, or MS in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field.

• 10+ years of Java and J2EE development experience.

• 4+ years of front-end engineering experience using Angular, AngularJS, HTML, and CSS.

• Strong proficiency with HTML, CSS, and ES6 JavaScript.

• Experience with front-end development workflows and tools such as NPM.

• Extensive experience developing Single-Page Applications (SPAs).

• Strong understanding of the DOM (Document Object Model) and cross-browser compatibility.

• Strong knowledge of object-oriented design, data structures, algorithms, and complexity analysis.

• Experience implementing development best practices and design patterns, including Observables, application flow control, event handling, error handling, and AJAX.

• Knowledge of SQL and experience with one or more RDBMS platforms.

• Hands-on experience designing and developing Web Services, including REST and SOAP.

• Understanding of Kubernetes, Docker, and CI/CD pipelines.

• Experience working in fast-paced Agile development environments.

• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and creative problem-solving skills.

• Experience with automated front-end testing tools such as Jasmine.

• Strong communication and cross-functional collaboration skills.

• Experience developing cloud-based solutions using Microsoft Azure and/or AWS.

• Minimum B2 English proficiency, with the ability to communicate effectively in a professional environment.

Preferred Experience, Qualifications & Skills

• Experience with non-relational data stores and technologies such as Redis, Memcached, and Elasticsearch.

• Experience with Continuous Integration and DevOps methodologies, best practices, and tools including Git, Azure DevOps, Jenkins, Terraform, and Terragrunt.

• Experience designing and developing distributed systems and multi-threaded applications.

• Hands-on experience with Spring Boot, Spring JPA/Hibernate, and Spring Security.

• Strong understanding of Microservices architecture and design patterns.

• Experience with scripting languages including Python, JavaScript, and Shell scripting.

• Experience mentoring junior software engineers and promoting engineering best practices across development teams.
