Business Analyst with Brokerage and Operations (CONTRACT) REMOTE

Broadridge is growing! We are seeking a Business Analyst with Brokerage and Operations experience to join a stellar team on contract basis. You will elicit and document requirements and requests by way of meetings, onsite visits, and workshops, using industry standard analysis techniques. You will author, present and finalize artefacts such as file and database layouts, illustrations with sample data, screens and diagrams, use cases, business and system flows, leveraging existing product and system documentation, when possible, in order to complete a documented solution consensus, within scope and project timeline, with both external and internal project teams.  Additional responsibilities include planning, resourcing, and collaborating with all internal and external functional groups of the conversion lifecycle including sales, customer support, project managers, business analysts, engineers, developers, production support, and other project stakeholders.

Work-Mode: This is a remote role where you will work off-site. Travel is limited and generally used for team learning and collaboration meetings.  

Responsibilities:

• Understand baseline products and modules, the underlying data models, their functional and technical interdependencies, and methods for configuring each module for the Client
• Elicit client requirements through interviews, document analysis, data analysis and by writing and conducting joint reviews of use cases, user stories and scenarios, as well as data flow, system, and business workflow diagrams, with the goal to align the client solution with BRACS baseline product
• Work with and support Project Managers to align on project scope, client relationship management, assist with work estimation, resource allocation and task prioritization
• Partner with internal Business Analysts, Client Service Managers, Product Specialist and Developers to complete the client Solution Document and communicate the project solution to the client
• Translate business requirements into appropriate functional specifications needed for technical product development and configuration
• Develop SQL scripts and other tools to assist with data analysis, QA, defect resolution and assist with functional requirements and system configurations
• Progress project tasks through the formalized workflow using JIRA
• Conduct external client training on delivered solutions
• Triage and conduct in-depth analysis of UAT and Production support issues and requests, by reviewing existing documentation, searching, and examining JIRA ticket history, and by working with various BRACS teams to determine and communicate the appropriate course of action 

Qualifications:

• 10+ years of experience in brokerage operations
• You should have a history of working in the finance technology data services and wealth platform industry
• Strong analytical skills, including data analysis, data relationship modeling and mapping required
• Candidates with SQL skills are preferred
• Experience working on software projects and with software engineers, technical groups, QA testers, sales personnel, customer support, and client management.
• Ability to write business and functional requirements, outlining the client project requirements that can be used by software developers to design effective software solutions and functionality that meet the client's business needs.
• Ability to liaison between the business - including presenting to and negotiating with senior leaders - and management units, technology teams and operational support teams.
• Experience in navigating across departments within a Business Unit and across divisions within broader corporate structure.
• Some travel to client sites may be required to facilitate requirements, assist in deployment support, and provide project oversight as needed.

Hourly range $70-80/hr
