Business Analyst / Configuration Manager (Healthie EMR)
Position Summary
We are seeking an experienced Business Analyst / Configuration Manager with specialized expertise in the Healthie EMR and practice management platform. In this role, you will act as the crucial bridge between clinical/administrative stakeholders and technical development teams. You will own the configuration of our Healthie environment, translate complex clinical workflows into precise system setups, and write crystal-clear, testable user stories to drive continuous platform optimization.
Key Responsibilities
- Healthie EMR Configuration & Administration
- Configure and manage the Healthie platform, including custom intake flows, e-sign policy forms, electronic charting templates, and automated client onboarding sequences.
- Set up multi-provider scheduling rules, custom appointment types, and calendar availability constraints.
- Configure role-based user permissions, security access profiles, and team member hierarchies to safeguard patient and business data.
- Manage backend settings, automated client/provider notifications, billing parameters, and third-party marketplace integrations (e.g., e-labs, e-rx, Fullscript).
- Business Analysis & Requirements Elicitation
- Conduct discovery sessions with clinical staff, practice managers, and executives to map out "As-Is " and "To-Be " clinical and administrative workflows.
- Perform gap analysis to identify opportunities for process automation and efficiency gains within Healthie.
- Maintain system documentation, requirement traceability matrices (RTM), and configuration logs.
- Agile User Story Writing & Backlog Management
- Write comprehensive, non-prescriptive user stories following standard agile frameworks (As a... I want to... So that...) paired with precise, testable acceptance criteria.
- Translate high-level strategic objectives into granular epics, user stories, and tasks ready for configuration or technical sprint execution.
- Partner with QA and product owners to define the "definition of done, " participate in user acceptance testing (UAT), and validate deployed features.
Qualifications & Skills
Required
- 4 to 6 years of experience as a Business Analyst, Systems Analyst, or Configuration Manager.
- 2+ years of experience specifically within digital health, telehealth, or clinical practice environments.
- 2+ years of hands-on administration and configuration experience with the Healthie EMR platform.
- 3+ years of experience writing detailed user stories, epics, and acceptance criteria in agile tools like Jira or Asana.
- Excellent stakeholder engagement skills to translate clinical needs into technical setups.
- Solid understanding of HIPAA data privacy and security rules.
Preferred
- 1+ years of experience working with Healthie API integrations or webhooks.
- Certified Business Analysis Professional (CBAP) or Agile Scrum Master (CSM) credential.
- Bachelor's degree in Healthcare Administration, Health Informatics, Computer Science, or a related field.
- 1+ years of experience implementing or scaling multi-provider group practices on Healthie.
- Familiarity with healthcare revenue cycles, billing, or claims management configuration.
