Railserve is hiring a dependable, safety-focused Site Leader to oversee daily rail operations at industrial facilities. This is a full-time leadership role responsible for ensuring safe, efficient, and customer-focused rail operations.

Job Description

In this role, you’ll oversee and support a variety of in-plant operations, including railcar switching, track maintenance, transloading, and equipment management.

You will lead teams, develop employees, and build strong customer relationships while ensuring all work is performed safely and efficiently.

Full-time; schedule varies based on site needs.

Duties

• Ensure a safe work environment by training employees on safety protocols and operational procedures
• Foster a culture of safety and compliance while maintaining certifications and safety standards
• Lead, coach, and develop team members, identifying high performers for advancement
• Manage scheduling to ensure proper staffing and skill coverage across shifts
• Coordinate daily operations to meet customer expectations and contract requirements
• Oversee cost management including payroll, fuel, and equipment expenses
• Maintain and support preventive maintenance programs in coordination with mechanical teams
• Build and maintain strong customer relationships through proactive communication and service delivery
• Perform administrative duties including timekeeping, reporting, and performance evaluations
• Supervise employees in accordance with company policies and applicable regulations
• Perform additional duties as assigned to support efficient operations

Job Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• 1+ year of supervisory experience in rail operations, logistics, or a related field
• Strong leadership and team development skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, operational environment
• Strong communication skills (verbal, written, and interpersonal)
• Ability to interpret safety rules, operating procedures, and technical documents
• Basic math skills including ratios, percentages, and data interpretation
• Ability to solve problems and make sound operational decisions
• Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions
• Ability to pass a drug screen, physical, and background check
• Military experience is a plus
