Job Description

  • Prepare and produce a variety of pastries, desserts, cakes, plated desserts and sweet creations, maintaining high standards of quality, taste and presentation.
  • Support the Pastry Chef in creating and enhancing offerings for the signature Mövenpick Chocolate Hour, ensuring a unique and memorable guest experience.
  • Prepare pastry and dessert items for Meet Well banquets and events, ensuring timely production and consistent quality.
  • Assist in developing and refining pastry recipes under the guidance of the Pastry Chef, with attention to consistency, creativity, nutrition and dietary requirements.
  • Contribute to wellness-focused desserts and healthier pastry options in line with current wellness trends and guest preferences.
  • Ensure proper storage, labeling and rotation of products in compliance with food safety and hygiene standards.
  • Monitor inventory and assist with stock control, portion control and minimizing food waste.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the pastry section and ensure compliance with hygiene and HACCP standards.
  • Guide and support Commis Chefs and trainees in pastry techniques and daily operations.
  • Participate in kitchen briefings and contribute ideas to continuously improve pastry and dessert offerings.

Qualifications

  • Culinary degree or diploma with a focus on Pastry, with 2–3 years of professional kitchen experience.
  • Proficiency in various pastry and baking techniques, equipment operation, and food safety standards, with relevant certification.
  • Strong organizational, time management and communication skills.
  • Creative with strong attention to detail in recipe development and presentation.
  • Knowledge of international pastry trends and Thai cuisine.
  • Experience creating health-conscious pastry products and accommodating dietary restrictions.
  • Thai and English proficiency required.
  • Flexible to work varying shifts, including weekends and public holidays.
