The System Administrator
will be responsible for supporting, maintaining, and improving enterprise infrastructure and operational platforms across managed services environments. The role requires strong hands-on experience in Linux and Windows Server administration, with mandatory hands-on Zabbix administration experience. The candidate should also have experience with virtualization, networking, scripting, databases, Microsoft 365, endpoint management, and enterprise monitoring tools.
Responsibilities
- Install, configure, administer, maintain, and optimize Zabbix monitoring environments.
- Configure Zabbix hosts, templates, triggers, alerts, dashboards, discovery rules, proxies, and integrations.
- Configure and troubleshoot SNMP-based monitoring for servers and network devices.
- Support monitoring platforms such as Zabbix, SolarWinds, and/or Nagios.
- Install, configure, patch, maintain, and troubleshoot Linux and Windows Server environments.
- Administer Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, and DHCP.
- Administer VMware vSphere/ESXi and/or Proxmox environments.
- Support Docker and containerized environments.
- Develop automation using Bash/Shell and PowerShell.
- Support networking services including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, SNMP, VPNs, routing, switching, and firewalls.
- Support MySQL/PostgreSQL databases and related applications.
- Administer Microsoft 365, Entra ID, Intune, Exchange Online, and Teams.
- Provide Tier 2/Tier 3 infrastructure support and participate in incident and root-cause analysis.
- Create technical documentation, SOPs, runbooks, and system diagrams.
- Work with engineering, networking, security, and managed services teams to resolve complex issues.
- Identify opportunities for automation, monitoring, reliability, and continuous improvement.
Skills required
- Mandatory hands-on Zabbix Administration experience, including installation, configuration, templates, triggers, alerting, SNMP, dashboards, proxies, and integrations.
- Strong Linux and Windows Server administration experience.
- Strong knowledge of Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and SNMP.
- Experience with VMware vSphere/ESXi and/or Proxmox.
- Experience with Docker/containerized environments.
- Scripting experience with Bash/Shell and PowerShell.
- Experience with Git and GitHub/GitLab.
- Experience working with APIs and system integrations.
- Working knowledge of MySQL and PostgreSQL.
- Experience with Microsoft 365, Entra ID, and Intune.
- Good understanding of networking, VPNs, routing, switching, and firewalls.
- Strong troubleshooting and root-cause analysis skills.
- Strong documentation and communication skills.
Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years of hands-on Systems Administration or Infrastructure experience in an enterprise, MSP, Managed Services, or similar IT environment.
- Mandatory to have Zabbix Administration experience with the ability to install, configure, maintain, and troubleshoot Zabbix environments.
- Mandatory to have experience working in an MSP/Managed Services environment supporting multiple customer environments.
- Strong experience supporting production infrastructure.
- Experience with Linux and Windows Server administration.
- Experience with monitoring platforms such as Zabbix, SolarWinds, and/or Nagios.
- Experience with virtualization, containers, scripting, APIs, and enterprise infrastructure.
- Familiarity with Azure/AWS and security monitoring is a plus.
- Understanding of ITIL, incident management, and change management is a plus.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, Engineering, or a related discipline is preferred. Equivalent experience may be considered.
- Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and support a fast-paced managed services environment.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Flexibility to support other shifts when required.
