What’s unique about this role?

The Solution Consultant (Linguistic Modeling) supports the team’s goals by leading teams in the use of complex methodologies, protocols, and tools for classifying electronically stored information for a variety of designations (e.g., privilege, confidentiality, responsiveness, issues, and class- or document-types). Linguistic-modeling-based classifications serve two primary use cases: solutions delivered directly to clients to meet consultant-scoped needs; and solutions delivered as optimizations to Lighthouse-internal workflows in adjacent service offerings. Solution Consultant is a lead-level position in linguistic modeling and search services, requiring a mastery of search/analytics software and the ability to scope client needs, design technical and process solutions, lead a team’s execution, proactively communicate, identify risk, and mentor less experienced team members. 

What will this person do?

• Masters DART/Lighthouse Search syntax and functionality
• Leads Linguistic Modeling project teams for the following:
  • Keyword/search term consultation, generation, and optimization
  • Confidentiality classification
  • Topical filtering
  • Potential privilege classification
  • Custom-built classification
• Develops ownership in the following areas, sometimes with guidance:
  • Project scoping
  • Technical and process solution design, including non-standard solutions
  • Incorporation of evolving technologies into workflows
  • Client communications
  • Resource management
  • Execution strategy
  • Internal project communications
  • Leadership and mentorship
  • Risk identification

• Proactively contributes to a culture of teamwork, support, and professionalism both on project teams and within Review Intelligence at large, and cross-departmentally
• Mentors less experienced team members on projects
• Contributes to Linguistic Modeling & Search service management activities aimed at increasing knowledge, efficiency and effectiveness, including incorporating AI technology into workflows
• Contributes to linguistic modeling service evolution and expansion

• Bachelor’s degree or higher or equivalent additional years of experience in professional or academic experience with research, data mining, strategic search, data analysis, text analysis, technology-assisted review (TAR), Electronically Stored Information (ESI), content management or linguistic analysis

• Keen attention to detail and a practiced sense of order and organization

• Strong analytical skills 

• Strong pattern recognition skills

• Aptitude for quickly learning technologies and processes

• Adjusts to new situations quickly and aptitude for working in a fast-paced environment to meet deadlines

• Ability to manage competing priorities and work independently or as part of a team

• Competency in a PC/Windows environment using Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and Outlook)

• Strong oral and written communication skills

Work Environment and Physical Demands

• Duties are performed in a virtual office environment while sitting at a desk or computer table. Duties require the ability to use a computer, communicate over the telephone, and read printed material.
• Duties may require being on call periodically and working outside normal working hours (evenings and weekends).
• Duties may require the ability to travel via automobile or airplane. Approximately 5% of the time will be spent traveling.

Factors that may be used to determine your actual salary may include a wide array of factors, including: your specific skills and experience, geographic location, or other relevant factors. The salary range for this position may be tailored to be lower or higher in different talent markets.
