Job Overview
We are looking for an experienced HRIS Workday Expert to join our international HRIS team. We are open to external consultant or 6-month fixed term employee. This is a part-time (20h) remote role with close collaboration across global HR teams as well as local colleagues in GGE HUB.
You will play a key role in supporting, optimizing, and developing our Workday environment, partnering with HR, Payroll, Recruitment, Compensation & Benefits, and IT stakeholders to deliver efficient, user-focused HR processes.
Mission
Mission 1 – Customer Support: Deliver high-quality support and ensure an excellent user experience for Workday stakeholders.
- Key Responsibilities
- Act as a trusted partner to:HR Directors (HRDs) HR Business Partners (HRBPs) HRIS and Compensation & Benefits teams Recruitment teams Payroll administrators IT stakeholders
- Analyze business requirements and translate them into effective Workday solutions.
- Ensure structured planning and timely delivery of HRIS initiatives and requests.
- Support and maintain key Workday processes, including:
- Employee data management
- Payroll integrations (PeopleNet interface)
- Contract generation
- Onboarding
- Recruitment
- Performance Management
- Core HCM processes
- Provide Level 2 (L2) support: Investigate and resolve issues, coordinate improvements and enhancements, escalate complex cases when required
Mission 2 – Workday Development & HR Projects: Contribute to the continuous improvement and development of the global Workday ecosystem.
- Key Responsibilities
- Act as a Workday subject matter expert for HR teams.
- Support Workday implementations, rollouts, and enhancement projects.
- Participate in:
- Process design
- Configuration reviews
- Functional testing
- User acceptance testing (UAT)
- Manage and support:
- Job Description workflows
- Contract generation processes
- Performance Management campaigns
- Recruitment and onboarding processes
- Monitor and report on key HR metrics and KPIs.
- Configure and optimize:
- Business processes
- Notifications
- Reports
- Workflows
- Implement new Workday business processes and enhancements.
- Perform data uploads and mass updates.
- Create and maintain organizational structures within Workday.
- Manage and resolve L2 requests through Jira.
- Actively participate in regular meetings with local and global HR teams.
Mission 3 – Data Quality: Ensure the accuracy, integrity, and reliability of HR data.
- Key Responsibilities
- Monitor and maintain employee data quality, including: Personal information, Bank details, Career information, Employee photos, Emergency contacts
- Coordinate regular data audits and corrections.
- Prepare and manage Workday data loads for:Hires Rehires Terminations
- Maintain Workday workbook templates and data import files.
Mission 4 – Collaboration & Continuous Improvement: Support broader HR initiatives and promote best practices across the organization.
- Key Responsibilities
- Prepare, update, or translate HR presentations and documentation.
- Promote knowledge sharing and best practices across international teams.
- Support HR teams in understanding Workday capabilities and requirements.
- Drive process standardization and continuous improvement.
Contribute to change management and user adoption initiatives.
Required Profile
Education
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Information Systems, or a related field preferred.
Experience
- Proven experience working with Workday HRIS.
- Strong understanding of HR processes and employee lifecycle management.
- Previous experience supporting Workday HCM and related modules.
Skills & Competencies
HR & Workday Expertise
- Strong understanding of HR processes, including: Core HR, Payroll, Recruitment, Onboarding, Compensation & Benefits and Performance Management
- Experience with Workday modules such as: HCM, Recruiting, Performance, Absence, Talent, Advanced Compensation, Time Tracking, Report Writer
- Experience with HRIS implementations, enhancements, and change management.
Technical Skills
- Advanced Excel skills, including complex formulas and data analysis.
- Strong PowerPoint skills.
- Comfortable working with HR systems, integrations, and data management.
- Familiarity with Agile methodologies and ways of working.
- Experience with Jira or similar ticketing tools is an advantage.
- Interest in AI tools and digital innovation.
