About the Role:

We are looking for an experienced, motivated, and process-oriented accountant to join our Finance and Accounting Team! As Plume’s Senior Accountant, you will play a pivotal role in shaping and scaling our Finance and Accounting department. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting, a high-level of attention to detail, and a strong desire to improve processes. This will be an excellent opportunity for a candidate to learn and grow in their career as the company continues to scale up. The Senior Accountant will play a key role in ensuring the accuracy of financial records, preparing financial reports, and supporting the overall financial health of the organization. 

Responsibilities:

Support the monthly close process with in-month and end-of-month activities 

Manage input of journal entries

Perform monthly revenue reconciliation and posting

Perform monthly balance sheet reconciliations for assigned accounts

Perform all monthly bank reconciliations

Maintain weekly input of bank transactions

Perform daily Ramp and BILL entries

Assist with annual tax preparation and documentation requests

Assist with annual audit process

Identify opportunities for process improvement

Contribute to developing and implementing best practice accounting procedures

Any other tasks that may be assigned from time to time by the Director of Finance

Must Have:

A strong understanding and appreciation of the trans experience. 

Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field

5 years of progressive accounting or audit experience

An understanding of the monthly close processes

Comfort with GL reconciliations 

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

Knowledge of Excel and Google Sheets

Possess attention to detail and organizational skills

Experience with Ramp and/or BILL

Ability to work in a fully remote environment   

Desire to learn and grow in the role

Nice-To-Have:

Experience with NetSuite

Multi-entity environment experience
