About the role

Join us and deliver projects that matter. Reporting to the Portfolio Manager, you will play a key role in leading the successful delivery of strategic projects, ensuring outcomes are achieved on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. Working within the SJGHC Project Governance Framework, you will manage project lifecycles from initiation through to closure, while partnering with stakeholders across all levels of the organisation, including executives, clinicians, and external vendors.

This role requires a proactive and commercially minded project professional who can effectively manage project governance, financial performance, risk and change management, procurement activities, and vendor relationships. You will be responsible for developing and maintaining key project documentation, facilitating governance and steering committee meetings, and driving collaboration across multidisciplinary teams to deliver sustainable business outcomes.

The role is offered on a permanent, full-time basis, working 38 hours per week.

Key responsibilities

  • Lead the successful delivery of projects, ensuring outcomes are achieved on time, within budget, and to a high standard.

  • Manage project planning and execution, including scheduling, resource allocation, prioritisation, and delivery coordination.

  • Oversee project financials, tracking budgets, forecasts, actuals, and reporting on performance.

  • Build and lead high-performing project teams, providing coaching, mentoring, and direction to achieve project goals.

  • Engage and influence stakeholders, fostering strong relationships to drive successful project outcomes.

  • Manage project risks, issues, and scope changes, ensuring effective governance and informed decision-making.

  • Prepare and present project reports, supporting governance forums and keeping stakeholders informed of progress.

  • Collaborate with internal teams, vendors, and external partners to ensure the right resources, capabilities, and support are in place for success.

Your skills and experience

To thrive in this role, you'll be a passionate and experienced Project Manager with a track record of successfully delivering complex projects in dynamic environments. Backed by a relevant tertiary qualification and PRINCE2 (or equivalent) certification, you will be confident leading cross-functional teams, navigating competing priorities, and turning strategic objectives into tangible outcomes.

Equally important is your ability to build trusted relationships and influence stakeholders at all levels. A strong communicator with a commercial mindset, you’ll bring exceptional organisational skills, sound judgement, and the confidence to drive projects forward while keeping teams aligned, engaged, and focused on success.

We're looking for someone who enjoys solving problems, thrives in a collaborative environment, and takes a proactive approach to achieving results. Experience within the healthcare sector will be highly regarded, as will your ability to work effectively with diverse teams and contribute positively to a culture of continuous improvement and high performance.

We can offer you

  • Salary: $128,800 to $143,100, plus 12% superannuation

  • Permanent Full-Time role, working 38 hours a week.
