We are sharing a specialised consulting opportunity for experienced Bankruptcy Attorneys with strong expertise in U.S. bankruptcy law, legal-document analysis, motions, pleadings, court filings, and complex legal reasoning to contribute to an advanced legal AI training and evaluation project.

Selected professionals will review and annotate bankruptcy-law materials, draft realistic litigation documents, analyse hypothetical matters, and evaluate AI-generated legal responses for accuracy and consistency with current U.S. bankruptcy law. The work requires strong practical bankruptcy experience, precise legal writing, and the ability to explain complex legal concepts clearly. No prior experience in AI is required.

Key Responsibilities

Bankruptcy Law Analysis

  • Analyse complex bankruptcy-law issues and factual scenarios
  • Apply current U.S. bankruptcy law to realistic legal problems
  • Identify legally significant facts, procedural considerations, and potential issues
  • Evaluate competing legal arguments and possible outcomes
  • Provide clear and well-supported legal reasoning

Legal Document Review & Annotation

  • Review bankruptcy-related legal documents and case materials
  • Annotate documents with substantive legal commentary
  • Identify inaccuracies, ambiguities, or incomplete legal analysis
  • Evaluate materials for clarity, consistency, and legal relevance
  • Provide structured feedback suitable for AI training and evaluation

Motions, Pleadings & Court Filings

  • Draft sample motions, pleadings, and bankruptcy court filings
  • Develop materials reflecting both routine and complex bankruptcy matters
  • Review drafting for procedural and substantive accuracy
  • Improve legal arguments, structure, and written presentation
  • Apply professional litigation-drafting standards consistently

Hypothetical Case Evaluation

  • Analyse hypothetical bankruptcy scenarios
  • Identify relevant statutory, procedural, and strategic considerations
  • Develop written explanations and legal arguments
  • Assess alternative approaches to complex bankruptcy matters
  • Explain legal reasoning clearly and concisely

AI Legal Output Evaluation

  • Review AI-generated bankruptcy-law answers for accuracy and completeness
  • Evaluate alignment with current U.S. bankruptcy law
  • Identify missed issues, unsupported conclusions, or weak legal reasoning
  • Provide actionable feedback to improve model performance
  • Apply consistent legal-quality standards across repeated evaluations

Training Content & Dataset Development

  • Contribute expert content for bankruptcy-law training datasets
  • Develop realistic examples, scenarios, and reference materials
  • Support creation of educational legal content
  • Identify important nuances and edge cases within bankruptcy practice
  • Help broaden the quality and coverage of bankruptcy-related evaluation materials

Legal Research & Emerging Issues

  • Stay informed on relevant developments in U.S. bankruptcy law
  • Identify emerging legal issues and practice trends
  • Incorporate current legal understanding into project assignments
  • Flag areas where changing authority may affect analysis
  • Support project quality through accurate and current legal interpretation

Ideal Profile

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited U.S. law school
  • Active licence to practise law in the United States
  • 3–15 years of recent, hands-on bankruptcy-law experience
  • Direct experience handling bankruptcy matters as an independent contributor
  • Experience with bankruptcy filings, court appearances, and advisory work
  • Strong bankruptcy-law research and analytical skills
  • Demonstrated experience drafting motions, pleadings, and court filings
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to explain intricate legal concepts clearly and concisely
  • Strong attention to detail and professional judgement
  • Judicial clerkship experience, particularly with a bankruptcy or federal judge, is preferred
  • Experience teaching law or developing legal instructional materials is advantageous
  • Legal-journal or law-review editorial experience is valued
  • No prior AI-training or model-evaluation experience is required

Engagement Details

  • Independent contractor engagement
  • Fully remote
  • Compensation: $90–$150/hour
  • Work will involve bankruptcy-law analysis, legal-document review, motions, pleadings, court filings, hypothetical case evaluation, legal writing, and AI-output assessment
  • Strong practical bankruptcy experience and legal drafting ability are central to this engagement
  • Assignments may involve bankruptcy proceedings, court documents, litigation materials, legal hypotheticals, model outputs, and structured evaluation tasks
  • Project scope, workload, bankruptcy topics, and evaluation standards may evolve depending on project requirements
  • Work must be completed without using confidential or privileged information belonging to any employer, client, law firm, institution, or other third party
