Job description

We are sharing a specialised consulting opportunity for experienced Human Intelligence Collectors and professional interviewers with strong expertise in elicitation, investigative questioning, behavioural cue interpretation, reliability assessment, and structured analytical reporting to contribute to an advanced AI training and evaluation project.

Selected professionals will conduct or assess structured interview and elicitation sessions, interpret verbal and behavioural cues, evaluate response reliability, and document analytical reasoning in a clear and defensible manner. No prior experience in AI is required.

Key Responsibilities

Elicitation & Interviewing

  • Conduct or assess structured elicitation and investigative interviews
  • Build rapport without pressure or coercion
  • Adapt questioning strategies as new information emerges
  • Extract accurate and relevant information from varied subjects

Real-Time Cue Analysis

  • Interpret tone, pacing, hesitation, and nonverbal behaviour
  • Identify inconsistencies or possible evasiveness
  • Adjust interview strategy based on observed cues
  • Distinguish meaningful signals from weak or ambiguous indicators

Reliability Assessment

  • Evaluate internal consistency across responses
  • Assess the reliability of information provided
  • Produce confidence assessments for individual interactions
  • Support conclusions with explicit, traceable reasoning

Behavioural & Motivational Analysis

  • Identify emotional or motivational factors that may influence responses
  • Annotate relevant behavioural patterns
  • Evaluate how context may affect communication
  • Avoid unsupported conclusions or overinterpretation

Scoring & Documentation

  • Score or annotate sessions using detailed rubrics
  • Maintain consistent evaluation standards across cases
  • Document analytical reasoning clearly
  • Produce concise written explanations for technical and non-specialist reviewers

Ideal Profile

  • 3–5+ years of experience in professional interviewing, intelligence elicitation, investigative questioning, skilled negotiation, or a comparable field
  • Background may include military HUMINT, law-enforcement interviewing, or other structured investigative environments
  • Training in recognised methodologies such as PEACE, cognitive interviewing, or comparable frameworks
  • Strong ability to interpret paralinguistic and nonverbal cues
  • Demonstrated ability to justify analytical conclusions in writing
  • Exceptional written English
  • Strong attention to detail and analytical discipline
  • Experience working across diverse populations or through interpreters is advantageous
  • Familiarity with data annotation, AI evaluation, or assessment-report writing is beneficial
  • No prior AI-training experience is required

Engagement Details

  • Part-time independent contractor engagement
  • Fully remote
