PMV Pharma is a precision oncology company pioneering the discovery and development of small molecule therapies targeting p53. TP53 mutations are found in approximately half of all cancers. Building on more than four decades of p53 biology, PMV Pharma is advancing innovative therapies designed to address significant unmet need in oncology. 

Position Summary

The Executive Director, Market Access will lead the development and execution of the U.S. market access strategy for rezatapopt as PMV Pharma prepares for its first commercial launch. This ED will be responsible for designing and building a fit-for-purpose market access organization and ensuring successful launch readiness across pricing, reimbursement, payer strategy, contracting, patient support services, distribution, trade, and evidence generation.

As a key member of the Commercial Leadership Team, the ED will work cross-functionally with Commercial, Medical Affairs, Clinical Development, Regulatory, Finance, Legal/Compliance, Supply Chain, and external partners to ensure broad, timely, and appropriate patient access for a novel precision oncology therapy in a biomarker-defined patient population.

Key Responsibilities

Market Access Strategy & Launch Readiness

  • Develop and execute the U.S. market access strategy aligned with overall commercial objectives, launch plans, brand positioning, and financial goals.
  • Lead market access planning and execution for PMV Pharma's first commercial oncology launch, including post-launch optimization.
  • Translate payer, provider, and patient access insights into actionable strategies, launch assumptions, and risk mitigation plans.
  • Establish key performance indicators and dashboards to monitor coverage, reimbursement, patient affordability, time-to-therapy, and gross-to-net performance.

Pricing, Contracting & Payer Strategy

  • Lead development of pricing strategy, contracting approach, payer segmentation, access scenarios, and gross-to-net assumptions in partnership with Finance and Commercial leadership.
  • Develop payer value propositions, reimbursement strategies, and engagement plans for national and regional payers, PBMs, IDNs, oncology networks, and pathway organizations.
  • Serve as the company's subject matter expert on U.S. payer dynamics, formulary processes, coverage policy development, and reimbursement trends.

Evidence Generation & Value Communication

  • Partner with Medical Affairs, Clinical Development, and HEOR stakeholders to ensure clinical, economic, and real-world evidence plans support payer engagement, reimbursement, guideline inclusion, and long-term value demonstration.
  • Lead development of payer value materials, AMCP dossiers, budget impact analyses, and pre-approval information exchange strategies.

Patient Access, Distribution & Operations

  • Design and implement patient support services, field reimbursement strategy, hub services, co-pay assistance programs, and specialty pharmacy solutions.
  • Lead development of trade and distribution strategy, including specialty pharmacy network design, 3PL coordination, and launch-related operational readiness.
  • Collaborate with Supply Chain, Finance, Legal/Compliance, and Commercial Operations to ensure compliant and efficient access infrastructure.

Organizational Leadership

  • Build, lead, and develop a high-performing market access organization appropriate for PMV Pharma's stage of growth.
  • Select and manage consultants, agencies, and external vendors supporting access strategy, HEOR, reimbursement, patient services, and trade operations.
  • Serve as a strategic advisor to executive leadership on market access risks, opportunities, and launch readiness milestones.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree required; advanced degree in Life Sciences, Pharmacy, Public Health, Business, Health Economics, or related field preferred.
  • 15+ years of biopharmaceutical industry experience with progressive leadership responsibility in market access, pricing, reimbursement, payer marketing, patient services, or related commercial functions.
  • Proven experience leading market access strategy for at least one U.S. oncology product launch.
  • Experience supporting or leading market access readiness for a company's first commercial launch.
  • Deep expertise in U.S. payer systems, specialty pharmacy, reimbursement, patient access programs, distribution models, contracting, and gross-to-net management.
  • Demonstrated success building market access capabilities, infrastructure, teams, and vendor networks in emerging biotechnology organizations.
  • Strong cross-functional leadership experience partnering with Commercial, Medical Affairs, Clinical, Regulatory, Finance, and Operations teams.
  • Excellent executive communication, strategic planning, and influencing skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience launching precision oncology, biomarker-driven, companion diagnostic-enabled, or rare oncology therapies.
  • Direct responsibility for building and scaling a market access function.
  • HEOR, value evidence generation, and payer communication experience.
  • Familiarity with specialty distribution, state licensing, 3PL implementation, and specialty pharmacy network design.
  • Global market access exposure.
